These typical values should not be interpreted as specifications. Applications Versamid PUR is a 35 solids solution in a solvent blend of n-propanol and n-propyl acetate. Versamid PUR is a film former that is soluble in a variety of alcohols and co-solvent (alcohol and hydrocarbon) systems for use in flexographic or gravure lamination inks. Since it is completely dilutable in alcohol, a finished ink can be formulated that will not swell flexographic printing plates. Versamid PUR can be formulated into inks that provide excellent cohesion, flexibility and adhesion to various polyolefin, polyester, polymer coated and metalized films. s formulated with Versamid PUR exhibit excellent adhesive and cohesive strength in both adhesive and extrusion laminates. In addition, it has sufficient block resistance to be used as a surface printing ink vehicle. The adhesive was applied with a K-coater 3 using a #2 bar to achieve a coating weight of lb/ream. The adhesives were Adcote and Adcote A/B. July 2014 Rev 3 Page 2 of 5

3 The films were laminated to PE film (back sheet) using a card laminator at 175 F (79 C) for adhesive lamination and at 325 F (163 C) for extrusion lamination where films were laminated to PE film (back sheet) without any adhesive application. strengths were measured on a Thwing Albert 5 Model #225-1 Friction/Peel Tester operating in the 90 T-peel mode. Measurements were made after aging laminates for 3 days; FT = film tear. resistance was measured face-to-face and face-to-back at 50 C with 10 psi for 16 hours. Properly stored and protected, an unopened container of Versamid PUR should have a shelf life of at least one year. Use proper loading and grounding procedures when handling near flammable materials.
