GOOD, BETTER, VARIANT The secret behind a successful modular scaffold is optimal connection between horizontal and vertical scaffold tubes. Such connections are known as nodes. A good node is one that has been successfully designed for an extremely high load capacity. If such nodes can also easily absorb dynamic loads without loss of stability, such as the strain caused by swaying bridges or extremely high winds, then these fall into the category of excellent nodes. If there is an additional option to connect horizontal scaffold tubes with vertical tubes at any angle, then we are talking about RUX VARIANT modular scaffolding, which is strength and dynamics combined. 4 VARIANT standards are available in lengths of 1 to 4 m. The breaker plates welded on at intervals of 50 cm are capable of connecting up to 8 horizontal ledgers or system diagonals. Additional breaker plates can be placed anywhere in between and simply screwed on. A simple concept ingeniously implemented. RUX VARIANT the ultimate in flexibility! The horizontal ledgers are available in lengths from 50 cm to 2 m. Particularly clever: thanks to the metric dimensions, users can replace two short ledgers with a long one and vice versa. This saves time and material and opens up new application possibilities.

SCAFFOLD DECKING The great variety of decking available for RUX VARIANT modular scaffolds is a consistent, logical continuation of the system idea. There is a system behind product development here also. No matter which decking you choose, your customers will be happy with it! In some applications, of course, the choice of decking is prescribed by mandatory specifications. scafom-rux decking: its modern design promises not only easy handling and outstanding stability, but also optimal stackability. Decking can be supplied in 2 different versions: 6 as system decking made of steel, timber or aluminium (highly economical, with simultaneous use in scafom-rux facade scaffolds), or as steel planks for tubular bearings (particularly successful in industrial scaffolding). A must in industrial scaffolding: non-system steel planks with non-slip rubber surface, for instance in corner positions. Toe boards: timber or aluminium. Our toe boards are sturdy and easy to mount.
Components to fit any structure Brackets simplify the adjustment of scaffolding to the form of the building. Protrusions and recesses, scaffolding round pipes, bays and other challenges are thus reduced to mere trifles. With the help of telescopic ledgers, you can adjust the system to any irregular dimensions without having to fall back on tubes and couplers. A choice of several access hatch variants is available for comfortable ascent within the scaffold. 7 Please refer to our current price lists for detailed information about special accessories and extension components.
SCAFFOLD ASSEMBLY? The connection between standard and ledger reaches its maximum statical value by applying a light hammer stroke to the captive wedge in the head of the ledger hook. 8 There is not always a second assemblyman close by to help. However, this does not mean that the erection of RUX VARIANT has to stop. The horizontal ledgers are designed for easy installation by one assembly operator alone. They can no longer be dislodged, as was once the case in conventional modular scaffolds. A form-fit connection is already created just by placing the ledger into position and inserting the wedge. The round breaker plate allows optimal adjustment to the building. Stepless adjustment to any angle is possible. A light hammer stroke on the captive wedge is sufficient to ensure perfect locking. This turns the connection, which is already form-fit, into a secure, force-fit joint.
Easy assembly: the way to a basic scaffold A standard lead-off adapter is attached to the screw jack and aligned to fit the application. Then the horizontal connections are levelled to ensure vertical alignment of the scaffold. Next, the standards are inserted into the lead-off adapters. 9 Ledgers and diagonals are then mounted on the next level. Then decking planks can be added as required. DETAILS TO INSPIRE ENTHUSIASM As a scaffolding contractor, you are again and again faced with the necessity to adjust your scaffold to the building to be covered. The more individual and complex such buildings are, the more diffi cult this becomes. Just think of pipeline systems, ships hulls, television towers or similar challenges. Especially curved scaffolds can be erected easily, and, above all, quickly with RUX VARIANT. The outstanding feature of RUX VARIANT modular scaffolding is the stepless adjustment of ledger positions in the breaker plates of the standards. No limitation to 90 or 45 angles. The system allows scaffolding at any conceivable angle. A maximum of eight ledgers and/or diagonals can be simultaneously connected to every breaker plate. 10 The patented nodes with indirect wedging guarantee long-term resistance to extremely high dynamic loads. There is no need for costly restriking of wedging. We can only show you the method. You are more familiar with the innumerable different applications yourself! This also opens up new prospects.
Details to inspire enthusiasm: logical grid dimensions By the term logical grid dimensions we understand the cost-efficient option of replacing two or three short ledgers with one long ledger, i.e. dimensional compatibility between short and long ledgers. In ideal cases, this will enable you to erect a scaffold with up to 40% less material. A metre is a metre. RUX-VARIANT IN ACTION Thanks to their high stability, RUX VARIANT modular scaffolds are ideally suited for building ascent structures. An extensive choice of stairs allows the construction of towers with a load-bearing capacity between 1.50 and 7.50 kn/m 2, meeting virtually any demands that can be placed on such applications. 14
15 A mobile scaffolding structure, 16 m high and staggered, under the grandstand roof of the Wedau stadium in Duisburg, as a low-cost alternative to complete shoring. Scaffolding on difficult ground can be erected easily and safely in spite of various protrusions and recesses.
