1 Introduction 1.1 Brief outline of work methodology 1.1.1 The works to be carried out on the electrified Arena Tunnel on the RBS2 line at 0 miles 53 chains 0 miles 61 chain are a full inspection repair works picked up on the last inspection. Due to the nature of the works a full possession of both lines and isolation are required to carry out the works. The repair works consist of concrete repairs to beam number 54, crack repairs and the over painting of areas of graffiti. Scaffold towers will be used to access the beam where the concrete repairs are to be done and will be erected by PASMA trained operatives, a neat cut around the damaged area will be made with the aid of a 110v grinder with a diamond blade attached, the area will be brushed to remove any dust, wetted down and the repair mortar will be applied with a trowel if necessary this repair will be built up in layer until the correct depth has been archived. The crack repairs will be ground out with an 110v grinder with a diamond blade attached, brushed out wetted down then repointed with mortar trowel applied. The areas where the graffiti has been located will be brushed down to remove any dust then over painted with the use of brushes and roller with a scaffold erected on area that can t be reach from the ground by a PASMA trained operative. A full report will be proceed and forward on to CBRE. PPE requirements are as follows:- Helmet to be whites unless required to wear blue under NR sentinel guidelines in accordance with BS EN 397:1995 High visibility orange upper body clothing with reflective tape to EN20471:2013 class 2 and RGS GO/RT3279Face fit masks to be worn whilst carrying out grinding to wall by site ops. Lower body HV orange clothing to BS EN 203471:2013 Class 1 RGS GO/RT3279. Safety footwear to be BS EN ISO 20345:2004 with ankle support, mid sole protection and protective toe cap. Minimum of general purpose gloves. Foul weather clothing high visibility jacket or coat to be BS EN ISO 2047:2013 for colour and visibility and to BS EN 343:2003 Class 3 for water vapour resistance and water penetration. Foul weather clothing high visibility over trousers or leggings to be BS EN ISO 20471:2013 for colour and visibility and to BS EN 342:2003 for water vapour resistance and water penetration. 6 Work Package Arrangements 6.1 Site Layout 6.1.1 The site will be accessed via Monument lane authorised access point off summer Hill Street Birmingham B1 2PJ 6.2 Access and Egress 6.2.1 The site will be accessed via the NWR authorised access point at Monument Lane B1 2PJ. 6.3 Welfare 6.3.1 A welfare unit will be provided for the duration of these works. 6.4 Rail Traffic Management 6.4.1 The worksite is some distance from the access point we will be utilising hand trollies to transport plant and material to and from the worksite all trollies will be cop 18 tested with a pre use inspection before use being carried out. As this is a stand allow possession there is no need to interface with other parties. ALO has been considered for the works and a full possession with isolation of all lines has been decided the best option. 6.5 Road Traffic Management All vehicles shall be parked adjacent to the access point on the access road off Summer Hill Street Birmingham B1 2PJ with consideration not to block the access through. Hand Over and Hand Back Arrangements 7.1 Hand over and hand back arrangements 7.1.1 Once all works are complete a CBRE representative will be invited to inspect the completed works, once satisfied the CBRE rep will be asked to sign Lineside s QF- 104 practical completion certificate.
