Canada adopted a similar rating system administered by the CaGBC (Canada Green Building Council). Selecting Products and Services for LEED Certification Guidelines The LEED program is being used as a benchmark for both private and government buildings, with the federal government requiring all U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) new construction projects and substantial renovations to be LEED-certified.
