All employees are expected to carry out their duties in accordance with our core values of:- Integrity Accountability Respect Passion Boldness Compassion Overall Purpose of the Role The Early Intervention post is an organic and inspirational role that has been developed to enhance engagement from the referral point into the service with the aim of ensuring that a new resident feels safe and familiar in their new home. This scheme aims to safeguard a person s wellbeing from the point of referral to the allocation of a keyworker and beyond. It is hoped throughout this period that the resident feels a sense of comfort, feels socially accepted, has a sense of dignity and belonging within the centre immediately. Essentially the will improve the resident induction experience into the centre and to provide an initial point of contact. This will inevitably help to prevent potential feelings of isolation during the settling in phase, or further down the line. Empowering People To liaise with the referring agency in order to safe travel to the Centre To provide a quality booking in process to the resident which will include a thorough risk assessment, completion of essential housing related documents and an induction to the Centre. To provide an orientation of the Centre, its staff and to show the new resident to their room To provide a welcome pack which includes toiletries and personal comforts To work with the Programme Coordinator in introducing the new resident to their buddy. This buddy will provide ongoing support throughout their early days and to support them to integrate into the centre Work as part of the Support Team to ensure clients have access to support when attending all housing and non-housing appointments, assisting in the completion of forms and applying for appropriate benefits. To support the personalisation agenda through initial keyworking and providing an informative action based handover to the selected keyworker. This will allow the keyworker to hit the ground running with their initial support Work in line with all relevant legislation and guidelines to protect clients, colleagues, staff and visitors from any abuse, accident or injury.
