CROP DEVELOPMENT REPORTS OBTAINED FROM PROVINCIAL DIRECTORATES AEGEAN REGION MANİSA AYDIN UŞAK DENİZLİ KÜTAHYA AFYON There is drought risk in Alaşehir, Demirci, Kula, Saruhanlı, Sarıgöl, Selendi and Turgutlu counties due to lack of precipitation. Other counties are normal. Precipitation is sufficient and there is no risk of drought. Period of tillering-bolting. There is risk of drought. It is esmitated that there can be losses in Çivril county due to lack of precipitation. There is no risk of drought except Çavdarhisar and Domaniç counties. Precipitation is insufficient and there are indications for drought in Bayat, Bolvadin, Çay, Çobanlar, Dazkırı, Emirdağ, Evciler, İhsaniye, İscehisar, Merkez, Sandıklı, 20 Sultandağı, Şuhut counties. There is no drought loss in other counties.
RESERVOIR LEVELS OF IRRIGATION DAMS Reservoir levels of 211 irrigation dams being operated is 49,6% as of 13.03.2014. 21

ACTIVITIES OF RISK ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE This committee makes semi-annual predictions for future by assessing report of Monitoring, Early Warning and Estimation Committee and by using various meteorological data. 23
PREDICTION MAPS OF EUROPEAN CENTER FOR MEDIUM-TERM WEATHER FORCAST (ECMWF) ARE USED FOR FUTURE PREDICTIONS. (APRIL, MAY, JUNE) It is estimated that precipitation will be less than season normal (0-50 mm) in south-eastern part of Eastern Anatolia Region and eastern part of South-eastern Anatolia Region; it will be more than season normal (0-50 mm) at eastern part of Black sea Region and at around season normal in other regions. 24

Subjects under the Agricultural Drought Provincial Action Plan; General information on the province. Training Plans. Soil and Land Resources. Water Resources. Drought action steps. Mid and Long-term Working Plans under Normal Conditions. Measures to be taken during Drought Periods. 26
DROUGHT ACTION STEPS Step 1: Preparation for Drought (Decrease in precipitation rate in September-October) Step 2: Drought Alert (Precipitation in September-October-November- December is parallel with dry years) Step 3: Urgent Action (Precipitation in October-November-December- January-February-March is near to driest year) Step 4: Restriction(Precipitation in October-November-December- January-February-March-April-May-June is at level of driest year) Measures to be Taken for each of these steps have been determined separately. 27
