Background 270 companies with activities at Zurich airport 60 companies with activities airside (third parties) Non-homogenous airside activities Unique (Zurich Airport Ltd.) with limited control over safety awareness activities of third parties Thus, there is a need to: 1. Legal Basis ICAO Safety Management Manual The certified aerodrome shall develop and maintain formal means for safety communication that ensures all personnel are fully aware of the SMS; conveys safety critical information; and explains why particular safety actions are taken and why safety procedures are introduced or changed.
