Moving towards SC2 2018-2019 + 2020 WPs Societal Challenge 2 (Calls 2018-2019 and 2020)??? Sustainable food security Blue Growth Rural Renaissance Bio-based innovation for sustainable goods and services WP definition: From January to June 2017 10
Moving towards SC2 2018-2019 + 2020 WPs Strategic Programme: Climate change and resilience on land and sea Towards a Circular Bioeconomy. Ecosystems, Sustainable food systems, healthy lifestyles Innovations on land and sea (new products, VC, markets) Rural and coastal areas 11
Climate change and resilience on land and sea Predict the extent and the mechanisms through which climatic variations and global warming are occurring and impacting on agriculture, forests and seas. Climate-smart production systems: Capacity of agriculture to further reduce GHGs emissions (soil, crops, livestock and biomass management; restore terrestrial and marine ecosystems; reduce stressors). Potential of microbiomes to mitigate negative effects of CC Land and sea interactions, and potential synergies or tradeoffs between climate adaptation and mitigation measures. Ocean observation sea-level rise, coastal erosion, climate change, deep sea mining. 12
