CTTS Planning Overview The corridors on the Central Texas Turnpike System (CTTS) include Loop 1, SH 45N, and SH 130 segments 1-4 and SH 45SE. A Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) will identify project needs for the CTTS and provide TxDOT decision makers a tool for financial planning and policy setting. The CIP will prioritize a list of recommended projects and improvements in three categories: short (1-4 years) mid (5-10 years) long range (10+) 16

CTTS Planning Overview Update of the Ultimate Schematic An update of the ultimate schematic for the CTTS is needed in conjunction with the CIP and includes the following items of work: Data collection Identification of potential ROW needs Identification of environmental constraints 18
Project Overview Purpose and Need TxDOT has a clearly defined planning process through the Unified Transportation Program (UTP), but improvements to the CTTS fall outside of traditional statewide planning and UTP funding. Ultimate schematics for CTTS warrant updates End Result Development of a CIP that identifies a priority list of projects to facilitate CTTS short, mid, and long term system planning improvements Preparation of an updated ultimate schematic for the CTTS corridor 19
