INTRODUCTION TO RPA
WHAT IS ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION (RPA)? A subset of Business Process Service Delivery Automation (BPSDA). It refers to automation that interacts with a computer-centric process through the software s User Interface supporting the process. Robotic automation aims to use a computer (a.k.a. robot) to manipulate existing application software (CRMs, ERPs, Help Desk and Claim applications) in the exact same way that a person works with those systems. This is the reason why RPA is commonly referred to as non-invasive integration. RPA By configuring software that will automate the activities or tasks previously performed by human beings. RPA aims to replace repetitive and no value adding clerical tasks performed by humans, with a virtual workforce of robotic FTEs, transforming the human workforce into Uber Administrators, whose role is to make judgmental calls, handle exceptions and provide a valuable oversight, much more than they did before, while directly administering the services.

ROBOT TYPES FRONT OFFICE ROBOT Definition: The Front Office Robot (FOR) is a robot that works side by. side with the human agents and assists them to automatically complete the processes. General use: in manual, repetitive, highly rule based activities containing decision points that require human intervention (either due to pure judgmental calls required or due to high complexity and high volatility of process inputs). Best fit for: Service Desks, Helpdesks and Call Centers. Communication with Server: bi-directional. Robot to Server: execution logs, automated process upload. Server to Robot: automated process version deployment only. Features: release management (automatic update/rollback) agent assisted mode centralized logging, reporting and auditing tools. FOR works from the same desktop as the human user. Can be triggered only from the local machine, manually, by a human action, and cannot be controlled remotely (run, scheduled). BACK OFFICE ROBOT Definition: The Back Office Robot (BOR) is a robot that works in an unattended manner, independent of any human interaction. General use: in manual, repetitive, highly rule based back office activities not requiring any human intervention. Best fit for: any type of back office activity prone to automation. Communication with Server: bi-directional. Robot to Server: execution logs, automated process upload, robot status Server to Robot: automated process version deployment, start or reset processes. Features: release management (automatic update/rollback) centralized logging, reporting, auditing and monitoring tools. remote control centralized scheduling queue/robot workload management. assets management Unlike FOR, BOR can be triggered remotely, directly from the server.

INNOVATION AND ROADMAP
UIPATH INNOVATION API & Security Add more API functionality, align to new security standards (encryption algorithms, TLS versions, etc) Elastic Work Allocation Process Auto-discovery (Cognition) Process Learning: It s the second phase of Process Auto-Discovery the phase in which the workflow is generated based on the discoveries from the first phase. Digitization & Machine Learning Computer Vision Market Place: Free UiPath Studio license & training for developers, individuals, education etc Integration with 3rd party IAM solutions (Identity and Access Management). We plan to start to integrate with Dell One Identity, CyberArk and PingIdentity s PingFederate..
