Phase 1 Update Closeout of VDOT Comprehensive Agreement There are two categories of work that must be performed: remediation of all remaining VDOT facility deficiency items and the Old Meadow Road intersection lane widening. Bechtel has agreed to perform a portion of the pipe remediation. MWAA will remediate the remainder of the deficiencies and recoup costs from Bechtel. Task Order Contract Status Task Orders with Notice To Proceed (NTP): 34 issued, including Old Meadow Road Design; 31 have been completed. Upcoming activities include: Americans with Disabilities Act sidewalk repair, storm drain remediation, manhole/structure repair, Chain Bridge Road drainage design, DCR Median Stormwater runoff repairs, and Dulles Connector Road left shoulder modification.
Old Meadow Road Schedule The final design is nearing completion for the realignment. 90% design is complete and responses to comments have been issued. VDOT has approved the curb radius design exception. Utility coordination (design) is required before completion of the 100% design. A modification for managing utility coordination was issued in October. Utility Issues: Numerous utility facilities require minor relocation work, but significant coordination and time effort for management, design and construction. 11 utility agencies/companies are involved. Plans Moving Forward: Start construction in early 2018, complete construction 2 nd quarter 2018.

Current Guideway & Stations Design-Build Activities All Design Packages complete and issued for construction. 98 Identified Design and Field Changes in Progress: 32 to be submitted 12 in review process with MWAA 54 in response or IFC production process with CRC 23 reviewed/processed by MWAA last month 20 Permit Amendments issued for Design Revisions. 87 Supplier Submittals reviewed/processed last month.
Upcoming Guideway & Stations Design-Build Activities Electricians will continue receiving Traction Power Substation (TPSS) and Tie Breaker Station (TBS) buildings and connecting these facilities with power cables to the guideway and stations. Innovation/Herndon/Reston Stations Continue roofing, escalator installation, and electrical and plumbing; erect remaining pedestrian bridge spans and pour concrete pedestrian bridge decks. Dulles Station Continue mechanical and plumbing, elevator and escalator installation and continue the installation of the station canopy roof. Track Ballasted rail and switch installation continues on the east and west at-grade guideways, Aerial Direct Fix Track is being installed through the Dulles Station and continuing to the east from the station.

Current WMATA Rail Yard & Maintenance Facility Design-Build Activities Final grading, paving and utility installation continues. Service and Inspection Building s (SIB) roofing and interior buildout continues. Maintenance of Way Building (MWB) roofing and interior buildout continues. Transportation Building (TB) interior buildout continues, roofing to start shortly. Train Wash Facility (TWF) structural steel underway. Rail welding progressing, 43 of 49 sections of special track work roughed in. Rail alignment/tamping/destressing ongoing.
WMATA Rail Yard & Maintenance Facility Design-Build Activities Ongoing SIB interior fit out, switchgear room buildout, machine shop equipment foundations and interior floors. Rail and special trackwork installation, tamping and aligning. Resolve open design and time extension changes. Review shop documents and construction submittals. Construction inspection and testing. Interface coordination with Package A.
