ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIP Engineers work as part of a team to provide engineering support to a Factory operation to maintain and repair equipment & improve efficiency & product quality ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS Carry out emergency fault diagnosis Repair and maintenance on Electrical Circuits and PLC s MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS Carry out planned and emergency fault diagnoses and maintenance on mechanical equipment TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEERS Provide support for all areas of the technical support function; Engineering Drawing, CAD, Electrical and Mechanical, development of specific sites, plant and equipment
ENGINEERING Basic Electrical / Mechanical Year 1 Health and Safety Direct On Line Starter Fault Finding and Testing Safety Panel combined with PLC units, drives, relays related to industry Hand Vice Electrical Ring Circuit Bench Fitting Skills Machine Skills Lathes & Milling
MANUFACTURING PROCESS TECHNICIAN Duties: Setting, Operating, Controlling process plant/machinery Taking corrective actions to make sure product is made to the right quality Managing full line operations Maintaining line efficiencies & measures. Following, Amending or Creating Standard Operating Procedures. Engineering Understanding: Correct problems for continuous improvement Use Engineering techniques such as (TPM) Optimizing processes to ensure for efficiency Train others staff to a higher standard Develop to become a team leader 3 Year Programme: Engineering and Manufacturing Training Basic Engineering Competency Level 3 Occupational Standards Technicians who: Help design Control Operate Troubleshoot Complex processes central to the business activities working with multi-million pound machinery Primary duties: Process technician to optimize the process and keep it on track Be reactive even if problems arise.
