Telephony Support - Precise Mortgages Temp to Perm opportunities 10.34 per hour 35 hours per week We are always interested in hearing from experience Telephony Agents who would like to join our Precise Mortgages team on a temp to perm basis. We are continually reviewing our requirements to meet the needs of both the business and of our customers. The Telephony Support role reports to the Senior Telephony Support and involves delivering a first class service in a busy environment, handling both inbound and outbound calls. In this role you will assist Intermediaries in their submission of mortgage applications, having a sound understanding of our policies and processes. You will also provide help and support on the progress of mortgage applications from receipt through to completion ensuring that the customers experience is at the heart of everything you do. You will also make outbound calls to third parties to chase outstanding information, helping us deliver an improved application to offer turnaround time. You will have an excellent understanding of the mortgage process, from application through to completion, delivering a 5* service at all times. Key Skills: - Experience of working in a busy call centre environment - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work under pressure and deliver a 5* service at all times - Knowledge of the mortgage process from application to completion, with an understanding of our products and policies - A team player who is able to work independently - Flexible approach to work The position attracts a competitive salary and benefits. Underwriting roles - Precise Mortgages 35 hours per week We are always interested in hearing from experienced professionals who would like to join our Mortgage Underwriting teams. We offer a variety of Underwriting and Processing roles to match to experience levels within our core lending teams. We are continually reviewing our requirements to meet the needs of both the business and of our customers. As an Underwriter you will contribute to the Processing area to ensure that the business is seen as a market leader within its chosen market place. You will also ensure that the Processing area complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, best practice; you will also develop key relationships with brokers and BDM s, to understand their business issues and priorities. The roles that we recruit to are: - Junior Underwriter 19,864.50 p.a. - Underwriter 24,046.50 p.a. - Senior Underwriter 30,319.50 p.a. For each of these roles we require the following key skills: - Previous mortgage experience; - Experience of working to deadlines and service levels; - Analytical skills that aid effective decision making and good problem solving skills; - Ability to negotiate and liaise with brokers; - Ability to interact with employees at all levels within the organisation and third party companies; - Ability to deal with confidential issues in a professional manner. In addition, you will have excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with employees at all levels within the organisation and third party companies, dealing with confidential issues in a professional manner with tact, diplomacy and resilience. A minimum of GCSE Mathematics and English Grade A C or equivalent is an essential requirement of these roles. Junior Underwriter In this role you will learn and develop underwriting skills via training and coaching from mandated Underwriters with a view to obtaining your own personal mandate of 250,000. You will be responsible for processing all new mortgage applications for Precise Mortgages as per our lending policy and file requirements. Underwriter In this role you will report to a Senior Underwriter and will be responsible for the timely processing of all new mortgage applications for Precise Mortgages as per lending policy and file requirements. You must have held a lending mandate for this role.
Technical Support Underwriter As a Technical Support Underwriter you will be responsible for the day to day processing of all mortgage applications that require advanced and technical expertise, assessing risk and applying sound judgement to ensure that applications are underwritten as per lending policy and file requirements. You will also be responsible for processing and analysing any complaints. Design and implementation of any new product/ policy initiatives will be key to the role. To be recognised as an expert within the department. You will have a direct responsibility for delivering a first class customer/broker experience, and for liaising with introducers and solicitors. Key skills: - Significant mortgage underwriting experience and holds a Precise lending mandate with a proven track record of developing non-mandated underwriters demonstrating strict adherence to policy; - Detailed knowledge of the mortgage process from inception to completion; - Sound knowledge of mortgage regulatory framework and specialist/niche lending; - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; - Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively whether working as part of a team or on own initiative; - Previous experience of handling / investigating complaints to include excellent attention to detail and the ability to analysis information to identify risk and root cause. Senior Underwriter In this role you will be responsible for providing daily supervisory support and managing the development of a team of Mortgage Underwriters whilst ensuring the timely processing of all new mortgage applications for Precise Mortgages as per lending policy and file requirements. You will provide expert advice and guidance to less experienced members of the team and ensure that they are managed, trained, appraised and developed, setting appropriate performance objectives and reviewing these objectives in line with the performance management process. You will support the Underwriting Manager by focusing on the day to day operations within Mortgage Processing and provide cover in the Managers absence. Additional key skills required for the Senior Underwriter: - Experience of mentoring and developing less experienced team members; - Detailed understanding of the mortgage process from application to completion; - Excellent communication skills; - Good understanding of the general principles of the law relating to mortgages; - Strong analytical skills that aid effective decision making and good problem solving skills; - An ability to negotiate and liaise with brokers to ensure the correct level of risk pricing/quality of application.
