The specific objectives for this role include; managing and developing group programs, that include respite, recreation and support in the community, with a focus on skills and interest development increase service provision of individual and group programs continue to support and develop the newly created coordination team Duties and Responsibilities: Management Demonstrate leadership and initiative to support and develop the ALO team as a respectful and collaborative unit providing person centred and strengths based services to individuals and families Lead change management strategy to support and assist others to adapt and adjust to change Be responsible and accountable for the day to day operations of the ALO programs In consultation with members of the Executive team, take responsibility for implementation of the agreed strategic direction of the team Provide direct support to families with complex NDIS plans across the whole ALO team. This includes interpretation of NDIS plans, negotiation of a signed service agreement within agreed organisational timelines and completion of administrative tasks related to finance, Supportability and the portal. Ensure effective management of the ALO program budget in consultation and collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Manager NDIS Services, and the Business Manager Finance In conjunction with Human Resources understand recruitment requirements of the ALO team and ensure staff are appropriately trained to take responsibility for recruitment, selection and retention of staff and volunteers
Provide appropriate and timely reporting using Supportability to meet team, Executive and Board reporting requirements Ensure compliance with all funding body data collection and reporting requirements Represent Pinarc at relevant local and Statewide forums, which may include delivery of professional presentations Develop and monitor a Quality Plan for the ALO team Effectively manage the risk of all programs with a strong focus on staff working alone in the community, ensuring staff compliance with organisational guidelines, policies and procedures Review customer and staff incidents in the context of individual or system improvements. Collaborate and implement solutions to mitigate further incidents and mitigate risks. Customer Service Actively initiate and contribute to continuous improvement and ensure that the program is compliant with funding body requirements. Including, report and act on complaints, identify and manage risks related to the program. Be aware of and comply with Occupational Health and Safety systems and processes. Use safe manual handling principles in work undertaken for the role. Ensure volunteers and staff are trained in safe manual handling practices Recognise and support cultural and spiritual diversity of customers Maintain confidentiality of information received and given Participate in the quality system and lead associated activities to continuously improve services across the Active Living Options (ALO) team Staff Supervision Develop and support the skills of coordinators in the ALO team to understand and operate in the NDIS environment Provide regular supervision for staff to establish clear goals and expectations for the service On an annual basis review goals of employees and volunteers Provide support to encourage a collaborative approach across the ALO team and the broader organisation Research and implement evidence based practice to strengthen service delivery across the team Relationships Lead regular ALO team meeting ensuring dissemination of organisational information and open contribution of participants Actively participate as a member of the senior management group, through contribution and active attendance at Pinarc meetings Provide regular reports for major projects related to the strategic plan to a steering committee chaired by a member of the Executive Group Develop and maintain links with relevant networks to remain up to date with changes occurring across the sector Organisational Use organisational systems provided to support work practices, as required eg.

Experience: Experience in service provision for people with disabilities and their families. Experience in leadership and management. Other Requirements: As a condition of employment a criminal record check is required, and reviewed every three years Victorian Working With Children Check Current Victorian Drivers Licence. Check against the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Demonstrated understanding of the needs of individuals with complex disabilities, and their families/carers Key Selection Criteria: 1. Demonstrated understanding of NDIS processes and ability to support families to understand their NDIS plan and negotiate service agreements 2.
