Job Description & Person Specification JOB TITLE: RESPONSIBLE TO: Marketing & Communications Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager SALARY: 15,000-20,000 LAST REVIEWED: January 2018 ROLE OVERVIEW: The Marketing & Communications Assistant will be working on marketing & communications, member engagement and supporting business development. The specific tasks for the role include: Principal Accountabilities This is not a comprehensive list of all the tasks that may be required of the post holder. It is illustrative of the general nature and level of responsibility of the work to be undertaken and is subject to regular review. The post holder is also expected to carry out other duties which are broadly consistent with the role as identified below. Marketing & Communications 1. Creating, sharing, posting and scheduling social media posts, monitoring feedback metrics; using tools such as Sprout Social. 2. Maintaining and managing content on company website and company intranet. 3. Assist with copywriting & proofing. 4. Case study research and writing. 5. Distributing and selling in press releases to media; building relationships. 6. Monitoring and collating media coverage. 7. Supporting internal communications activity. 8. 10. Data management activities including updating, segmentation, coordination and analytics. 11. Creating email marketing campaigns and reporting on engagement. Member Engagement 12. Liaising with members and suppliers. 13. Responding to and coordinating new memberships. 14. Developing marketing & communications output to target members with key messages. 15. Producing analysis and reports on membership related issues and themes. Business Development Support 16. Supporting new business development activities and assisting with the planning and execution of external events. 17. Supporting business development activity with administration & research support. 18. Managing membership and target customer information for campaigns and analysis. 19. Act as key point of contact for all inbound leads, monitoring corporate mailboxes in line with department procedures. Additional Responsibilities 20. PERSON SPECIFICATION QUALITIES ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE CORE COMPETENCIES Creative thinker, capable and comfortable generating ideas. A high level of attention to detail.
