The postholder will be responsible for the development and delivery of an annual undergraduate recruitment and conversion plan. The role will include responsibility for developing recruitment and conversion communications to enquirers and applicants to the University using multi-channel communications. The Undergraduate Student Recruitment and Conversion Manager will work with a variety of partners acoss the University to ensure the optimum student journey, in terms of timely and effective information, advice and guidance to postgraduate applicants. The Undergraduate Student Recruitment and Conversion Manager will be a member of the management team within Recruitment and Admissions and will oversee the work of the events team, who deliver a range of large-scale student recruitment events. Key Tasks Leadership and Management To lead, manage and co-ordinate undergraduate student recruitment and conversion activity for the University. Working with colleagues in central teams and faculties to ensure efficient and effective recruitment and conversion activities are undertaken. To develop an annual plan for undergraduate recruitment and conversion. Working collaboratively with faculty colleagues and colleagues within recruitment and admissions, ensure timely communications are sent to both potential applicants and offer holders. Work with the Head of Admissions and Undergradate Admissions colleagues to maximise conversion through efficient admissions processes. Maintain an up to date knowledge of best practice within the sector on undergraduate recruitment, providing advice to colleagues where appropriate. To lead, manage and develop the vents Team, overseeing staff development and the PDR process for the team. Deliver University wide training where relevant in areas including student recruitment, conversion, social media and the use of paid for student recruitment campaigns. Lead working groups in support of undergraduate recruitment and conversion. Communications management Manage and deliver a comprehensive multi-channel communications action plan to underpin and enhance the University s strategic undergraduate student recruitment and conversion campaigns. Working with Marketing, Communications and Development to lead on the development of innovative creatives for undergraduate student recruitment campaigns in line with corporate guidelines. Develop, monitor and analyse paid digital marketing campaigns specifically targeting prospective undergraduate students on both social media and external website platforms ensuring value for money and return on investment. Provide reports on the effectiveness of campaigns to appropriate groups within the University. Working with the Postgraduate Recruitment and Conversion Manager, develop and implement standard operating procedures for student recruitment social media administration, metrics and monitoring to enhance brand presence, engagement and return on investment. Develop guidelines for best practice ensuring that colleagues working on social media accounts across the University are aware of these. Work with senior University staff to ensure the most effective tools are used for undergraduate recruitment and conversion campaigns and communications. Work with University Faculties and Departments to ensure appropriate and consistent online messaging and relevance across all digital media channels for undergraduate student recruitment with respect to content, style and tone of voice. Work closely with colleagues in Marketing, Communications and Development to ensure undergraduate student recruitment and communications are planned, managed and monitored. Special Features As a front line service department it is vital that we are able to respond flexibly to emerging business needs. Although staff will have core responsibilities, working as part of an integrated recruitment and admissions team, you will be expected to contribute towards the work of the wider department. This may include, for example, supporting the various admissions teams, involvement in open days/ visit days, together with all other aspects of the department s work. Due to the nature of the work, the postholder may at times be required to work outside normal office hours and there may be some limitation on when leave can be taken.
