JOB DSCRPTON Job Title: Responsible to: Responsible for: Additional Learning Support Administrator Business Manager - Services Not Applicable 1.0 Job Purpose: 1.1 To provide a high quality and responsive administrative support for the service area, ensuring that both learner and staff needs are met and that all work is carried out in accordance with agreed college administrative procedures and quality standards. 2.0 Key Responsibilities 2.1 Work flexibly as part of the administration team, assisting in the delivery of efficient administrative processes, systems and procedures, in order to ensure that a high quality administrative support service is provided to staff. 2.2 Provide excellent customer service. 2.3 Carry out general office administrative duties to the college as required. 2.4 Assist the Learning Support team in administrative activities as appropriate for the effective operation of the service area. 3.0 Specific Duties 3.1 To support the administration of the service area. 3.2 To provide support to the SpLD Practitioners, Learning Support Tutors and Learning Support Practitioners to enable them to focus on their priorities. 3.3 To contribute to the analysis of data, and design and produce reports using a range of T based systems. 3.4 To assist the Learning Support team in the retrieval and collation of reports and information. 3.5 nsure effective tracking and monitoring of high cost learners and associated funding. 3.6 Assist the Learner Service Advisors with the arrangement of interviews for learners with disclosed ALS requirements.
3.7 nput and maintain accurate information regarding ALS needs and support on ProMonitor and Spirals. 3.8 Take responsibility for ensuring that special considerations for examinations are tracked and monitored, including the submission of all relevant paperwork to the examinations team. 3.9 Liaise closely with the Senior Data and xams Coordinator and the Learning Support team to ensure that all learners with approved special considerations for exams are appropriately supported with readers, scribes and assistive technology to enable them to achieve their qualifications, including assisting with the arrangement of key staff to support learners on a 1:1 basis in their exams. 3.10 Undertake the tracking and monitoring of learners achievement in nglish and Maths and any other associated administration with regard to learners in these areas.. 3.11 To administer, file and retrieve Support Plans and other support documentation. 3.12 To assist with the organisation of meetings using electronic diaries, book rooms and order refreshments, and minute meetings as required. 3.13 To make and receive telephone calls and to take phone messages. 3.14 To organise, file, scan and photocopy as required. 3.15 To provide reception cover as required. 3.16 To support with the archiving of documents. 3.17 To contribute towards the positive promotion and role modelling of the nstitute Group Core Values and Acceptable Standards for Learners. 3.18 Perform such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility. 4.0 Budget Responsibility The post holder is not a budget holder under the nstitute Group s accounting systems. However the post holder will be required to observe and comply with the financial regulations of the nstitute Group at all times. 5.0 Continuing Professional Development 5.1 The post holder will proactively take part in the nstitute Appraisal process.
