Answers / Clarifications to Questions Raised 1. Are unit prices and allowances to be included within the Base Bid? a. Yes, see Section 01 21 10 Unit Prices and Allowances. 2. When are substitutions and questions due? a. All substitution requests must be in the offices of ADC Engineering, Inc. at least 10 days prior to the bid date (AIA SCOSE 3.3.2). No substitutions are allowed unless approved in the addendum. Requests received after this date will not be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing to ADC Engineering, Inc. at least 10 days prior to the bid date (AIA SCOSE 3.2.2). No questions will be answered after this date. Any questions prior to bidding shall be directed to ADC Engineering. All responses will be made in the form of addenda to the bid documents. 3. Who do we contact for a site visit? a. Coordinate additional site visits with Mr. Philip Mauney at 843-792-2490. 4. If we are unable to attend the bid opening will results be made available that day after the opening? a. Official notification of bid results including issuance of a notice of intent to award will not be posted until MUSC verifies bid bonds, contractor license, etc. That normally takes anywhere from one to ten days. With a 2:00 pm bid opening time, it certainly will not occur on the day of the bid opening. However, since bid openings are public we don t have a problem with letting a bidder know verbally by request what everyone bid. 5. SECTION 01 21 10 ADDENDUM 1 UNIT PRICES AND ALLOWANCES PART 1 - GENERAL 1.01 SUMMARY A. Unit Prices 1. The unit price item, unit of measure and add/deduct price are included on the Bid Form.
