This Addendum is issued to all registered plan holders pursuant to the Instructions to Bidders. This Addendum serves to clarify, revise, and supersede information in the Project Manual, Drawings, and previously issued Addenda. Portions of the Addendum affecting the Contract Documents will be incorporated into the Contract by enumeration of the Addendum in the Owner/Contractor Agreement. B. The Bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the appropriate space on the Bid Form. C. The following bidders are pre-qualified to bid this project: 1. Contractor is responsible for permit fees. 4. Section "C-5 Construction Contract" (reissued) a. Contract time is extended to 154 calendar days. 5. Section "Allowances", (new). a. Added $50,000 Contingency Allowance. b. For purposes of crediting unused allowances back to the Owner, add 10% OH&P credit to the remaining balance. B. This Addendum includes the following attached Sheets: 1. Architectural Sheet A3.00 "Window Schedule", dated 10/14/14 (reissued): a. Subdivided Window Type 'S' into Type 'S1' and 'S2'. b. Revised glass types. c. Revised notes. d. Added Detail references. 2. Architectural Sheets A4.01, A4.11, A4.12 "New Elevations", dated 10/14/14 (reissued): a. Coordinated window elevations with revised window schedule Sheet A3.00. b. Added existing ceiling locations for reference. 1.4 REVISIONS TO DIVISIONS SPECIFICATION SECTIONS A. Specification Section "Aluminum Windows" (not re-issued): 1. Replace Section 1.6, Paragraph B with the following: a. Installer Qualifications: All products listed in this section are to be installed by a single installer, certified by the window manufacturer, with a minimum of ten (10) years demonstrated experience in installing windows of the same type and scope as specified. SHGC for all glass assemblies shall not exceed Section 2.8.A: Delete note Section 2.8.B: Delete paragraph and replace with: a. Equal to 1/4" Walker Velour #2 x as x 1/4" Walker Velour #3. b. Total glass thickness: 1". 4. Section 2.8.C: Delete Paragraph. This glass type will not be used. 5. Section 2.9.A: Delete note Section 2.9.B: Delete paragraph and replace with: a. Equal to 1/4" Walker Velour #2 x as x 1/4" clear " white pvb - 1/4" clear. b. Total glass thickness: 1". 1.5 REVISIONS TO DRAWING SHEETS A. Demolition Notes: 1. Contractor is directed to Note "I". All building stone is to be cleaned on the existing building according to Specification Section "Stone Restoration and Cleaning." 2. Add Note "J". Disconnect all existing ductwork or other building elements attached to existing windows prior to removal. 3. Disregard Notes 4 and 5: Owner's forces will complete this work. B. Sheet A "Photos - Existing Conditions" (not reissued). 1. Drawing 5: Add Note 4 "Remove existing refrigerant piping" at window adjacent to room "Principal's Office". This work will be performed by the Owner's forces. C. Sheet A2.02 "First Floor Plan 'A' - New Work" (not re-issued): 1. Change Window 'S' to 'S1'. D. Sheet A2.04 "Second Floor Plan 'A' - New Work" (not re-issued): 1. Change Window 'S' to 'S2'. E. Sheet A "Details - Existing and Removal Photos" (not reissued). ADDENDUM NO A - 3

Original wood window frames as well as existing aluminum frames are all to be removed. 2. Existing photos represent conditions after existing aluminum frame was removed. The Work shall be commenced on a date to be specified in a Notice to Proceed issued by the Owner or the Director, Technical Staff, Alabama Building Commission, and shall then be substantially completed within the Contract Time. (12) LIQUIDATED DAMAGES for which the Contractor and its Surety (if any) shall be liable and may be required to pay the Owner in accordance with the Contract Documents shall be equal to six percent interest per annum on the total Contract Sum unless a dollar amount is stipulated in the following space, in which case liquidated damages shall be determined at dollars ($ ) per calendar day. 17 WINDOW REPLACEMENT FOR ARCHITECT'S NO NORWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADDENDUM NO. 1 SECTION ALLOWANCES PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. 1.2 SUMMARY A. Section includes administrative and procedural requirements governing allowances. 1. Certain items are specified in the Contract Documents by allowances. Allowances have been established in lieu of additional requirements and to defer selection of actual materials and equipment to a later date when direction will be provided to Contractor. If necessary, additional requirements will be issued by Change Order. B. Types of allowances include the following: 1. Contingency allowances. 1.3 SELECTION AND PURCHASE A. At Architect's request, obtain proposals for each allowance for use in making final selections. Include recommendations that are relevant to performing the Work. B. Purchase products and systems selected by Architect from the designated supplier. 1.4 ACTION SUBMITTALS A. Submit proposals for purchase of products or systems included in allowances, in the form specified for Change Orders. 1.5 INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS A. Submit invoices or delivery slips to show actual quantities of materials delivered to the site for use in fulfillment of each allowance. B. Submit time sheets and other documentation to show labor time and cost for installation of allowance items that include installation as part of the allowance. ALLOWANCES

Coordinate and process submittals for allowance items in same manner as for other portions of the Work. 1.6 COORDINATION A. Coordinate allowance items with other portions of the Work. Furnish templates as required to coordinate installation. 1.7 CONTINGENCY ALLOWANCES A. Use the contingency allowance only as directed by Architect for Owner's purposes and only by Change Orders that indicate amounts to be charged to the allowance. B. Contractor's related costs for products and equipment ordered by Owner under the contingency allowance are included in the allowance and are not part of the Contract Sum. These costs include delivery, installation, taxes, insurance, equipment rental, and similar costs. C. Contractor's overhead and profit for products and equipment ordered by Owner under the contingency allowance are to be included as part of the Contract Sum. D. At Project closeout, credit unused amounts remaining in the contingency allowance to Owner by Change Order. Include 10% OH&P in addition to unused allowance credit. 1.8 ADJUSTMENT OF ALLOWANCES A. Allowance Adjustment: To adjust allowance amounts, prepare a Change Order proposal based on the difference between purchase amount and the allowance, multiplied by final measurement of work-in-place where applicable. If applicable, include reasonable allowances for cutting losses, tolerances, mixing wastes, normal product imperfections, and similar margins. 1. Include installation costs in purchase amount only where indicated as part of the allowance. 2. If requested, prepare explanation and documentation to substantiate distribution of overhead costs and other margins claimed. 3. Submit substantiation of a change in scope of work, if any, claimed in Change Orders related to unit-cost allowances. 4. Owner reserves the right to establish the quantity of work-in-place by independent quantity survey, measure, or count. B. Submit claims for increased costs because of a change in scope or nature of the allowance described in the Contract Documents, whether for the purchase order amount or Contractor's handling, labor, installation, overhead, and profit. 1. Do not include Contractor's or subcontractor's indirect expense in the Change Order cost amount unless it is clearly shown that the nature or extent of work has ALLOWANCES

No change to Contractor's indirect expense is permitted for selection of higher- or lower-priced materials or systems of the same scope and nature as originally indicated. PART 2 - PRODUCTS (Not Used) PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION A. Examine products covered by an allowance promptly on delivery for damage or defects. Return damaged or defective products to manufacturer for replacement. 3.2 PREPARATION A. Coordinate materials and their installation for each allowance with related materials and installations to ensure that each allowance item is completely integrated and interfaced with related work. 3.3 SCHEDULE OF ALLOWANCES A. Allowance No. 1: Contingency Allowance: Include a contingency allowance of $50, for use according to Owner's or Architect's written instructions. 1. Contractor's Overhead and Profit is to be included in the Base Bid. END OF SECTION ALLOWANCES
