Innovation for Field Joint Coating Since the early 1980 s, Pipeline Induction Heat has been providing Field Joint Coating services to the pipeline construction industry; onshore, offshore and spool base activities. The principles adopted by Pipeline Induction Heat are to ensure the highest possible quality of application, to achieve the long term performance and integrity of the field joint coating system. The PIH automated, field joint coating equipment offers highly repeatable installation processes, capable of achieving high coating production rates, allowing for faster commissioning and reduced pipeline construction costs. The equipment and processes are designed to minimise any effects to the environment, whilst assuring the health and safety of the operator. The PIH operatives are highly skilled, following years of in-house training and field experience.

Onshore Onshore pipeline construction projects often involve the installation of large diameter pipes spanning many hundreds of kilometres, across varying terrain and diverse climatic conditions. The Right of Way (ROW) Environmental Permits and project scheduling require pipelines to be built and commissioned within strict timelines. Pipeline Induction Heat works closely with the main contractor providing services for the efficient installation of the field joint coating systems during the construction of the pipeline. Our experienced technicians and project managers are known around the world for their expertise in the application of a wide range of field joint coating systems in accordance with the parameters of the project specifications and schedule. FIELD JOINT COATING SYSTEMS INCLUDE: Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE), 3 Layer PE and PP Systems, PP Flame Spray, Multi-Component Liquid (MCL), Heat Shrink Sleeves (HSS), Fused Insulating Jacket (FIJ).

Offshore Pipeline Induction Heat is a leader in the application of field joint coating systems where increasing demands for quality, reliability and shorter installation times are paramount. Our equipment and processes are designed in accordance with the laybarge configuration, forming an integral part of the offshore pipe lay activity, providing a highly repeatable process and optimum cycle time for the application of a wide range of field joint coating systems. FIELD JOINT COATING SYSTEMS INCLUDE: Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE), 3 Layer PE and PP Systems: Flame Spray and Fused Field Joint (FFJ), Heat Shrink Sleeves (HSS), Injection Moulded PU (IMPU), Injection Moulded PP (IMPP), PU Foam Infill (PUF), Multi Component Liquid (MCL). Spool Base Offshore pipeline installation can often involve pre-fabrication of the pipeline at onshore spool base locations. Pipeline Induction Heat operates at spool base sites around the world where the equipment and processes have been adopted to deliver rapid cycle times and repeatable high quality. Continuity of work over many years has allowed close working relationships to form between Pipeline Induction Heat and Spool Base Operators. Custom Coating PIH offers services for the application of a wide range of corrosion protection and thermal insulation systems to special fittings, bends, spools and line pipes. Malaysia PIH s dedicated custom coating facility is located at its Malaysia base in Pasir Gudang, incorporating a state of the art blast preparation chamber, pre-heat oven and climate-controlled spray booth. Specialist Services Injection Moulded Polyurethane (IMPU) PIH can also mobilise bespoke custom coating services at locations around the world; at client premises, or at CRC-Evans regional bases.
