TITAN fabrics help minimise the effects of heat stress in the following ways: Breathable TITAN fabrics have been designed with an open and breathable structure to maximise flow of perspiration vapour through the moisture barrier. Lightweight Not only are TITAN fabrics lightweight, their intelligent design allows for a lighter weight thermal barrier, reducing overall garment weight significantly. Flexible The softness and flexibility of the fabric means you are not wasting valuable energy manoeuvring in your gear. 2

3 Protection That Shows Don t let the softness and light weight fool you; TITAN fabrics are not lightweight when it comes to heat and flame protection due to the patented TI-Technology construction. During exposure to heat and flame, the unique and innovative patented design of TITAN fabrics traps insulating air within your garment a process known as Active Air Entrapment. The intelligent Active Air Entrapment reaction increases your thermal protection when it is needed, giving you more time to react to your environment. The visual change in the fabric is your reassuring reminder that your garment is working hard to keep you safer for longer. Quality That Lasts The unique and innovative double cloth construction of TITAN fabrics have been designed to maximise durability, extending the wear life of the garment, and reducing repair costs. Excellent Abrasion Resistance The inherent flexibility of the TITAN design means that the fabric moves with the abrasive surface, resulting in excellent abrasion resistance. UV Stability The Innovative construction of the TITAN fabrics places the more UV stable DuPont Nomex on the face, resulting in excellent UV stability. Superb Colour Fastness TITAN fabrics utilise only the best yarns, with excellent colour fastness, even after repeated washing. REPEL+ (Water and Chemical Repellence) All TITAN fabrics have a high level of repellence to water, acids, alkalis, and gasoline. This level of repellence is achieved by our high performance and proprietary REPEL+ finish which is standard on all TITAN fabrics. REPEL+ is designed to keep you dry and comfortable without affecting the breathability of your gear, even after repeated washing.

TITAN 1220 is a highly breathable fabric designed primarily as an outer shell for structural fire fighter garments, reducing the risk of heat stress by keeping you cool and comfortable, whatever the situation. Tried, tested, and requested by fire fighters worldwide, TITAN 1220 combines the flame resistant properties of Nomex and Kevlar to provide dynamic thermal protection and outstanding durability even in the most demanding situations. colours available A premium 175g outer shell fabric featuring Nomex and Kevlar. At only 175gsm, and featuring an open breathable structure, TITAN 1241 is used as an outer shell fabric in police riot coveralls, technical rescue, and EMS protective gear, where maximum comfort and flexibility are paramount. colours available A premium 270gsm outer shell or single layer fabric featuring Nomex and Kevlar. TITAN 1250 is a highly breathable fabric, used both as an outer shell fabric for structural fire fighter garments, and as a single layer fabric in riot police coveralls. TITAN 1260 is a highly breathable fabric used as an outer shell fabric for structural fire fighter garments. Like its stable mates TITAN 1220 and TITAN 1250, this fabric features the unique and innovative Active Air Entrapment, provided by the double cloth construction. The inclusion of Pbi fibre increases thermal integrity, ensuring that, after cooling, the fabric remains flexible and intact, and does not break open after flashover. The fabric uses a specially developed proprietary yarn with smoother surface to maximise breathability by reducing fibrillation. The Nomex yarn is slightly raised to protect the Pbi yarn and thus improve abrasion resistance. 6 Quality Systems and Testing Over the last 230 years, we have developed a deep understanding of the technical world of woven textiles and how the placement of fibres can be maximised to provide the best product for each scenario. By staying close to our suppliers, customers and you the end-user, our research drives product innovation and the future technology of textile specification and application. Our fully integrated vertical textile mill in the UK, carries out every process from the selection of raw wool bought from as far as Australia and New Zealand through to the finished cloth ready for use in your PPE. Our expertise is in selecting the appropriate combination of fibres and yarns to use in each fabric to allow you to work effectively and safely while minimising the effects of heat stress. This, combined with our UKAS accredited testing laboratory No. 4112, gives Hainsworth its unique competitive edge. Our UKAS accredited laboratory offers a range of standard tests for evaluating specific textile properties, both physical e.g. tensile/tear strength and also chemical e.g. colour fastness. By utilising the skill and experience of our Laboratory team we have also developed our own in house test methods for instances where standard test methods do not exist to ensure that the cloths we manufacture keep you safer for longer. Our textile testing facility plays an integral part in the process of new product development. Strict monitoring and checking at each stage of the processing route gives us confidence that products will meet the exacting nature of specifications required by differing end uses and end users. Through strict control processes recognised in our BSI ISO9001 Quality Standards Mark, for design, development and manufacturing, Hainsworth combines innovative product development with the ability to deliver consistent manufacturing to exacting specifications. Our development work has also been recognised with the receipt of a number of awards including The Queen s Award for Enterprise in Innovation and DuPont European Innovation Award.
