Fluidized Bed General Characteristics Complete combustion by using sand as fluidized medium Temperature range 850-950 C Energy recovery No/ minimal bottom ash No dioxin Lowest emission Medium size/ scale possible Pre-treatment is required Padaeng Co. Ltd. Confidential and Copyright 2014 16

Our Technology Fluidized Bed Combustor Fluidized bed is formed by blowing air underneath sand material through air nozzles. Shredded waste floats on and in between the hot fluidized sand bed and burns away to gas and ash. Ash which is light is blown along with the combustion gas stream into dust collecting facilities. Padaeng Co. Ltd. Confidential and Copyright 2014 17

Advantages of Fluidized Bed Fluidized bed creates mixed material turbulence and collision of sand and waste materials to ensure complete combustion of waste particles. Large freeboard zone help complete combustion of gas. Operating temperature at 950 C which is not high enough to produce thermal NOx, however, high enough to destroy virtually all hazardous materials. Padaeng Co. Ltd. Confidential and Copyright 2014 18
