The Opportunity Join a profitable remodeling company as Vice President, Sales and Production. The successful candidate would have a desire for partial leading to full-ownership while working with current ownership over a fixed period, providing a smooth and successful transition for both parties. Fixed period or immediate buyout may vary pending negotiations and appropriate disclosures with current ownership. As the CEO-in-waiting your primary function is generating new sales and marketing opportunities, managing business operations to ensure our historical profitability. Also as a key member of our corporate team you would be responsible to facilitate the sales and construction process from the initial sales meeting, through owner's acceptance, leading to project construction, safety, quality, schedule, subcontract negotiation, and management of the construction operation for all projects. What You Will Be Doing Business development seeking new opportunities and avenues of business for H&H including but not limited to: Forecast sales and marketing budgets and plans accordingly, Generate and track new business leads and job quoting opportunities, Network, participate in leads groups and relevant business associations, Evaluate and engage in marketing strategies and tactics including website updates and home shows, Manage advertising and mailings to promote business opportunities, Manage collection of project payments from clients, Attend and help chair all pre-construction meetings with clients, Supervise and/or perform initial leads intake conversations, Meet with potential clients at the initial sales meetings, Present and close Phase 1 Design & Budgeting agreements, Supervise the initial design process, Prepare project budgets, Prepare, present and close Construction Contracts, Be driven to succeed financially. Project management, including but not limited to: Supervise preparation of biweekly job planning calendar, Review, in conjunction with the CEO, the execution of project plans & biweekly job planning calendar on an ongoing basis, Review project budgets versus performance on a minimum of a biweekly basis, Supervise the pre-construction process with clients, Supervise and attend, as needed, project meetings with clients & lead carpenters, Supervise preparation of and review project construction document.
What You Will Bring Experience in remodeling industry; whole house or kitchen & bath. A Bachelor's degree is required. Proven direct sales experience. 5 years estimating experience and general knowledge of the residential home building. Effective organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication andlistening skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Accurate and detail oriented. Strong inte rpe rsonal skills with the ability to inte ract and rela te effectively, productively, and positively with other Associates. Dependable, punctual, reliable. Ability to work a schedule that may include hours other than 8-5 Monday through Friday, depending on business needs. Professional Engineer Structural Engineering a plus. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook and Word. The Successful Candidate A Bachelors degree in architecture, structural engineering, or construction management or related field is preferred Must have acceptable reference checks Successfully pass a criminal background check Must be a strong fit for our organization s culture Must have a valid driver s license and reliable transportation Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to learn and grow professionally Be willing and able to make a financial commitment with interest in full ownership.
