INTRODUCTION The work place all across is marred with daily episodes of sexual harassment. Efforts have gone futile in assuaging this harassment and impact both the functioning of the team and the productivity of employees. Lack of proper guidance and gender sensitivity have become potent enough to create unhealthy power dynamics and a biased environment that undermines professionalism and the core objectives of organizations. It is employer s responsibility to provide safe, clean and healthy working environment to its all employees and particularly to its women employees. It is thus imperative for every employer to provide appropriate training, counseling and education so that zero-tolerance is enforced against acts of sexual harassment towards women employees at work place. In light of these challenges, the Honorable Supreme Court of India has laid certain guidelines for all to follow. The recent enactment of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace ( Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 has made it imperative for all organizations to provide for protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. According to the Act, all businesses with more than ten employees to establish an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to address any cases of sexual harassment in their workspaces. Each organization is now bound to put in place a policy and process to address any cases of harassment basis above act. This workshop has been specially designed to explain, appraise and familiarize with the provisions of the new law, THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) ACT, 2013; and to disseminate simplified information in order to impart due training in creating a clean, congenial and safe working atmosphere in the organization.
