MAIN DUTIES: 1. To support teaching staff in the training and delivery of the curriculum to students with learning difficulties, language needs and/or disabilities. 2. To assist students with the organisation and completion of their college work e.g. assignments, note-taking, research etc. 3. To provide welfare assistance where necessary and enable access to the full range of college services. 4. To develop and maintain effective relations with learners that promote learning. 5. To liaise with specialist support services. 6. To help teaching staff in the identification and development of appropriate resources for individual learning. 7. To undertake administrative duties as required by the Programme Leader. 8. To promote an inclusive learning environment across the college. 9. To attend team meetings as required. 10. Perform any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Principal. 11. Participate in appraisal and professional development as appropriate. General Terms and Conditions for Learning Support Assistant Salary: Start Date: Hours: Probation: 16,951 to 17,538 per annum inclusive of Outer London Allowance. ASAP 37 hours per week, term time only Confirmation of appointment will be subject to satisfactory completion of twelve months probationary period.
