The PSLV and GSLV aunch ehices hae enabed India to surge towards becoming sef-reiant in aunching the different cass of sateites buit in-house. The successfu maiden aunch of GSLV Mk-III on 5thJune 2017 pacing the GSAT-19 Communication Sateite into orbit enabed India to join the eite cub with capabiity to aunch heaier communication sateites into space. ISRO has steadiy expanded its capabiity to buid and aunch sateites for remote sensing, teecommunication, naigation and space sciences that hae made possibe a pethora of space appications bene ting the society. The scienti c miestones achieed by ISRO hae created an atmosphere of excitement in Indian Industry, especiay the Aerospace Companies domain, who is wiing to expand their business in Space segment due to the fairy arge commonaities in these two areas. From the beginning, ISRO has been pursuing a conscious poicy of buiding and nurturing the industry capabiities in the country to maximay support the Indian Space Programme. Unti now, the Indian industries hae been deiering hardware/components, whie ISRO payed the ead roe in carrying out the mission design; assemby, testing, quaity assurance, integration and aunch. Indian Space Programmes has since attained an appreciabe reasonabe ee of standardization and technica maturity, and is deemed ready for endto-end deiery through Indian industry. Considering the future missions, research and deeopmenta actiities towards adanced space technoogy; ISRO is ooking for enhanced industry participation to meet its future demands.

Goba Sateite Launch Market The goba sateite industry encompasses sateite serices, sateite manufacturing, aunch industry and ground equipment. It is seen that as of year-end 2015, there hae been oer 1300 operating sateites, of which 50% are communication sateites. Neary 60 countries operate sateites as of now. Speci cay, notabe, a number of priate entures are bringing-in ariety of sateite consteations. The new sateite consteations on ani couped with growing demand for sma sateites are fueing the need for increased manufacturing of arious components and sub-systems; further, the requirements for reiabe aunches. Whie a few countries hae aready geared-up to face the chaenges and opportunities thrown by the current goba space market, it is essentia that Indian Space Program and stakehoders mobiize their resources to take bene t of the scenario, in partnerships with foreign industry in a way that is bene cia to a. In this backdrop, FICCI is organizing the "1st Internationa Seminar on Indian Space Programme Trends & Opportunities for Industry" on Noember 20-21, 2017 at Hote Ashok, New Dehi. The objectie of this two-day conference is to deiberate on the best practices, pursue the ongoing discussion process to support further work of India's Space Sector and faciitate arriing at coherent framework, where in India's Space Sector can start uneashing the domestic and goba opportunities through enhanced partnerships and coaborations. The seminar is aimed to highight the achieements and major miestones of Indian Space Sector in recent past, and the future programs and pans.
