Press Release For immediate release Fly High Awards 2011-2012 celebrates the Best in Hong Kong Airport Advertising Canon, Ocean Park, Pernod Ricard and Allianz cinched Gold Awards (Hong Kong, 13 rd September 2013) The 3rd Fly High Awards 2011-2012, organised by JCDecaux Transport, was concluded with an awards ceremony and luncheon at the Hong Kong Jockey Club yesterday. With the presence of over 100 executive representatives from the advertising industry, academy, related business and corporations, the event acknowledged and honoured outstanding advertising campaigns at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) which have uniquely capitalized on the unparalleled strengths of HKIA advertising to promote their brands, companies and products. The theme Gateway to the World highlights the distinctive characteristic of HKIA as the busiest international airport in Asia with the 3rd largest international passenger volume worldwide. A panel of professional judges, consisted of academics and leaders from the creative and advertising and academic industries, selected the most outstanding advertising campaigns at HKIA from 2011-2012 for the titles of Excellence in Branding, Excellence in Innovation and Excellence in Use of Digital Media. The winner of Most Favourite is selected by the public via online voting from 19 July to 14 August 2013. Ocean Park s Aqua City Grand Opening, a stunning collection of multi-coloured creative, is voted by the public as the Most Favourite. The Gold Award of Excellence in Innovation goes to Pernod Ricard s The Chivas Brothers Blend Launch the interactive photo booth featuring the first-ever glasses-free 3D TV at Hong Kong International Airport brought about a unique and engaging experience to International travellers. Allianz s One features a dynamic call-to-action creative that captures the eyeballs of business travellers and garners the Gold Award of Excellence in Use of Digital Media. In addition to the celebration of outstanding advertising campaigns at the Hong Kong International Airport, this year s Fly High Awards see the First-Ever Fly High Advertising Creative Contest 2013, a new component that recognizes creative professionals and nurtures new young talents in Hong Kong. The Gold Award in Professional Category of Fly High Advertising Creative Contest 2013 is awarded to an exhibition concept with knitted works of art by Leung Kung Tsan, who works as an Assistant Art Director. The Gold Award in Student Category goes to the infographic animation by Chan Chau Tin, an undergraduate student of the Associate in Design (Advertising Design) Program at PolyU Hong Kong Community College. Both winning entries will have the chance of being adapted for promotional materials of Hong Kong International Airport Advertising. As the winner of student category, Chan will also be entitled to an internship at JCDecaux Transport, where he will gain invaluable work experience and exposure to professional creative projects at international level.
