Arcserve & Azure Integration. Arcserve Public Cloud Solutions. 1: Copy Recovery Data or Files to Azure Blob. (Utilize Azure Storage Blobs only) Feature addition to on-premise Arcserve UDP installation which will allow you to Archive or Copy stagnant unstructured data to low cost cool Azure blob storage for long term retention. This will reduce cost on production higher cost spinning disk and allow for additional copies offsite. Create an additional Task to Copy or archive files & folders from a local RPS, or a replicated RPS, to an Azure Storage blob Target from onsite Arcserve Recovery Point server. Supports file copy/archive to non-deduplication cloud object stores or cloud network folders, with versioning, compression, and encryption for security. Includes advanced file/folder selection filters & scheduling options on the Additional Azure Task. Arcserve & Azure Integrations 1
2: Copy Recovery to Azure (Utilize Azure Storage Blobs only) Feature addition to on-premise Arcserve UDP installation which will Rehydrate on-premise Deduplicated data to a Stand alone full image Recovery Point copied to low cost Azure cool blob storage. Great replacement for Tape. Restore an entire system to point Intime from such RP. Create an Additional Task Copy Full Bare Metal Recovery Image from a local RPS, or a replicated RPS, to an Azure Storage blob Target from onsite Arcserve Recovery Point server. Store backups securely off site for disaster protection. Copy Recovery Point Image is a full rehydrated image that will be held in Azure, Restore capabilities of GRT files or application GRT from the Cloud RPs. The cloud RP can be used for Full BMR restore capabilities in cloud or back on premise. Supports Recovery Point copy to Amazon S3 and Microsoft Azure blob storage volumes for off-site longterm storage of recovery points. Economical replacement for offsite tape backup retention. 3: Download Files or Folders from Solutions 1 & 1.1 azure storage. Example: Arcserve & Azure Integrations 3
4: Replicate RPS Deduplicated and Compressed Backup Data with retention to Azure cloud RPS node (Utilize Azure Cloud) Setup Replication to a 2nd Recover point server located in Azure cloud. Replicate selective Nodes or all nodes to Azure RPS. Replication is WAN optimised and only Unique block data is replicated to Azure RPS datastore. Full arcserve Restore capabilities are available from the Azure RPS back to On Premise or through API into Azure. Azure RPS Can hold different data retention policies to On premise allowing you to keep less retention onpremise and more on cheaper Azure cool blob. Create a Replication task to Remote Azure cloud Arcserve Recovery point Server. Provides source and target deduplication and WAN optimized replication of recovery points into the Azure Cloud. Extended Isolated 2nd Target with its own retention (Example: On-premise RPS hold 2 months backup data, Azure RPS to hold 7+ Years backup data for compliance on Cheaper Cool Blob). Restore to On-premise from Azure RPS. Restore to Azure Cloud from Azure RPS (File Level, Instant VM, Application). Replicate back to On Premise RPS with retention Data. 5: Offsite Replication to Azure Cloud with Disaster Recovery in Azure Feature addition to Azure cloud RPS target which will allow automated export of replicated backup to an Azure converted VM on Azure cloud, Azure VM will be updated by newest data replicated to Azure RPS. Azure VM will be in powered off state and only additional storage cost will be applicable from Azure up until Azure DR VM is powered on. Create a Scheduled Task To replicate Data to Azure RPS (Solution 2). From Backup data replicated to Azure RPS automatically Create Offline Guests Azure VMs of replicated Servers in Azure Cloud Powered Down. Automatically updated Daily by Incremental on-premise backups replicated to Azure RPS. Retention Settings on Azure Offline DR VMs to allow failover to point in time based on Replication and changes. Built in DR network capabilities to allow for Azure connectivity into Azure network from on-premise, including DNS updates. Supports VMware to Azure, Hyper V to Azure, Physical to Azure, Public Cloud to Azure. Arcserve & Azure Integrations 5
6: Continuous availability into Azure (High Availability) Setup High Availability for Critical Applications or files to Azure VMs. Protect application Data instantaneously to azure bring Data loss RPO down to seconds or Near Zero & reduce Failover down times to seconds or Near Zero RTO through Heart beat monitoring on Source applications or servers. Additional functionalities to allow reverse replication back to on premise and Rewind of replicated committed changes, avoid the spread of data infection or corruption. Continuous replication enables cloud-based recovery of applications, files & data Reduce costs by using public System & application monitoring WAN optimized replication Automated DR testing and/or push-button fail-over, fail-back Automatic end-user redirection Centralized management & reporting For more information on Arcserve, please visit arcserve.com Copyright 2018 Arcserve (USA), LLC and its affiliates and subsidiaries.
