DEVELOPING YOUR TALENT At 3aaa Apprenticeships we have developed our unique management talent development programme to allow you to develop management talent within your business. We put a key focus on providing a clear structured progression route for your talent to give them the opportunity to develop and flourish both as an individual and as an asset to your business. With only one in five managers being trained in Management we have collaborated with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to build our Pathway to Management Programme to embed managerial skill sets at key stages of staff development. PROGRAMME OVERVIEW Welcome to the 12-15-month, Level 3 First Line Manager Programme. During this programme your staff will receive training across a number of areas of management development, including a number of face to face training sessions covering all elements of first line management. Training will cover topics including: Business Culture, You the Manager, Leadership Styles, Communicating and Interpersonal Skills, Finance and Risk, Performance Management, Critical Thinking, Coaching and Mentoring and a Business Improvement Project. This programme will develop your managers knowledge, skills and behaviours across all elements of management development and will support them becoming more effective in their role. In addition to the training received during the programme, there will be regular visits from a 3aaa workplace coach. The coach will support your learners to embed the knowledge they gain during their training sessions, and develop their skills and behaviours to ensure they reach their potential. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION 3aaa are industry leading in their approach to developing management talent, having been awarded Grade 1 Outstanding by Ofsted. Our partnership with the Chartered Management Institute allows us to offer CMI Management Diploma and Degree qualification to our Levy clients. With complimentary membership to CMI, your managers have access to class leading industrydriven resources enabling them to benefit from complimentary mentoring, networking, and gain access to an exclusive Career Development Centre.

Management Role Your Managers will learn and be competent in: Professional Recognition with CMI First Line Manager Developed for supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility giving junior managers the communication and motivational skills needed to help improve operational efficiency. Member Senior Manager The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship offers the triple guarantee of a quality degree, on-the-job experience and a professional pathway for future development. Managers who complete the programme will earn a degree in management and business and become a Chartered Manager. Taking responsibility for people, projects and business plans to deliver long term organisational success with the expectation that they will deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate their commitment to continual learning and development. 20% OFF-THE-JOB TRAINING With our support, we will help you monitor the required off-the-job training that must amount to 20% of the contracted employment hours across the whole programme. The table below sets out the activity types that we will build into the individual learning plan for each participant including regular work shadowing, learning coach visits and weekly performance reflection. The individual learning plan will be adapted to meet your learning and development requirements, job role and your company training strategy. ASSESSMENT This programme is made up of two main types of assessments; on-programme assessment and end point assessment. The on-programme assessment will involve employer and training provider. It will involve the development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace. The ongoing assessment is through evidence of 360-degree feedback within the ongoing development of the portfolio. The end point assessment consists of a range of different assessment tools including: Test of knowledge using scenarios with questions Competency-based interview Assessment of portfolio of evidence Professional discussion relating to CPD activity

ASSESSMENT GATEWAY On-Programme Assessment Regular assessment (involving employer and training provider) Development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace. Through evidence of 360-degree feedback within the ongoing development portfolio. Successful completion of management diploma L3 or equivalent knowledge building activity (if used) Gateway to End Point Assessment: Employer and Training Provider agree the apprentice meets the requirements of the Standard End Point Assessment: Involving a range of assessment tools: Test of knowledge using scenarios with questions Competencybased interview Assessment of portfolio of evidence Professional discussion relating to CPD activity Successful individuals gain: An industry designed apprenticeship An industry recognised management diploma Level 3 (if used) Option for professional registration with relevant professional body

ENTRY CRITERIA To enrol participants onto the Team Leader Level 3 Programme, they must: Have been a resident in the UK/EEA/EU for the last 3 years Have Level 1 English and Maths equivalent Be able to meet the programme modules through their job role QUESTION AND ANSWER Who Are 3aaa? Aspire Achieve Advance (3aaa) are the largest privately-owned Apprenticeship training provider in the UK. With OFSTED Grade 1 Outstanding, and 40 locations across the country, we provide outstanding training to work-placed learners on a national scale, with a local customer service. How Many Hours Of Study Will It Take? We are proposing approximately 7 workshops during the year with Masterclasses from experts in their field. This will be supported with some targeted workplace activities which will not be disruptive to day to day working. How Much Time Will Participants Have Out Of The Office? There will be approximately 7 days during the year where participants will be out of the workplace on training sessions. Can Participants Press Pause On Their Programme And Pick It Up Later? This is possible and will need to be agreed with the you and the learner during the programme. The Learning Coach or your Account Manager will be able to give you more information on this if and when required. Where Will Face To Face Learning Take Place? This will be arranged either at the learner s workplace or, if we have a group of colleagues, in a shared learning environment. Further information about delivery locations will be communicated out to participants as the programme begins. Can Participants Start This Programme If They Don t Manage People? Yes they can.

Programme Overview Welcome to the 15 month, Level 5 Operations Manager Programme. This programme is designed to equip participants with the key skills needed to manage resources, recruitment and information management and will allow managers to become more effective in their roles. During the programme, participants will cover a variety of topics, allowing them to contribute to, and create, strategic plans alongside the creation and development of business plans which will be integral to the business progression. Participants will also learn to manage projects, lead and manage teams, manage change, talent management and support others through different coaching methods. We have worked with employers to develop an innovative and exciting programme which will benefit both your manager, and the business. Duration Qualification 3aaa are industry leading in their approach to developing management talent, having been awarded Grade 1 Outstanding by Ofsted. Our Operations Manager programme is a nationally recognised qualification in industry. Participant may also be offered a further opportunity, depending on the pathway agreement, to achieve an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Level 5 Diploma for Leaders and Managers or a CMI (Chartered Management Institute) Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. 3aaa has mapped the content of the Operations Manager Standard to this qualification so that only one portfolio of evidence will be required to gain both qualifications. With complimentary membership to CMI, managers have access to class leading industry driven resources enabling them to benefit from complimentary mentoring, networking, and access to an exclusive Career Development Centre. Each participant will have individual access to a bespoke virtual learning environment to access additional learning material. Modules Our Level 5 Operations Manager programme gives your employees the skill knowledge and on the job training to make them a highly valued member of the team. Here are the modules in further detail: Module 1 Principles of Operational Leadership and Management in an Organisational Context This module covers the principles of operational leadership and management in an organisational context. Learners will develop an understanding of the skills and behaviours required to be effective in a management and leadership role. Module 3 Managing Stakeholder Relationships This module includes managing stakeholder relationships, where learners will understand the different types and value of stakeholder relationships. They ll then start to understand the frameworks for stakeholder management and then know how to manage stakeholder relationships. Learners will then know the methods for measuring the impact of stakeholder engagement on organisational performance. Module 5 Managing Change This module works on managing change. Learners will be able to understand the reasons for change in organisations, understand approaches to change management and understand how to initiate, plan and manage change in an organisation. Module 2 Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success Learners will work on developing, managing and leading individuals and teams to achieve success. Learners will start to understand approaches to developing, managing and leading teams, and then understand approaches to achieving a balance of skills and experience within teams. Module 4 Managing Projects to Achieve Results In this module learners take on managing projects to achieve results. They will understand the role of projects in delivering organisational strategy and then understand processes for initiating, planning and managing projects. They ll then be able to understand the factors which contribute to effective project management. Module 6 Creating and Delivering Operational Plans Creating and delivering operational plans is the subject of this module, where learners will start to understand the principles of operational planning in an organisation. They ll learn how to create an operational plan that s in line with organisational objectives, know how to manage and lead the delivery of an operational plan and know how to monitor and measure the outcome of operational planning. Module 7 Managing Finance This module covers managing finance with learners learning to understand finance within organisations and how to set and manage budgets. Module 8 Using Reflective Practice to Inform Personal and Professional Development This module focuses on using reflective practice to inform personal and professional development. Assessment This programme is made up of two main types of assessments; on-programme assessment and end point assessment. The on-programme assessment will involve employer and training provider. It will involve the development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace. The ongoing assessment is through evidence of 360-degree feedback within the ongoing development of the portfolio. Regular assessment (involving employer and training provider). An industry designed apprenticeship. An industry recognised management Level 5 qualification (if used). Option for professional registration with relevant professional body. Successful Individuals gain Assessment Gateway On-Programme Assessment Successful completion of management Level 5 or equivalent knowledge building activity (if used). Involving a range of assessment tools: Test of knowledge using scenarios with questions. Competency-based interview. Assessment of portfolio of evidence. Professional discussion relating to CPD activity. End Point Assessment Gateway to End Point Assessment Employer and Training Provider agree the apprentice meets the requirements of the Standard.
