Avgoulas Professor Agricultural University of Athens Place and date of birth: Chanea, Crete, August 6, Graduate, Agricultural University of Athens, 1969, grade [8] very good , two years post-graduate course, High School of Commercial Studies [University], on business administration. Since May 1973, assistant to the Laboratory of Crop Production, Faculty of Plant Science and Production, Agricultural University of Athens. November 1985: I was conferred a doctor s degree, on the basis of a Thesis on certain quantitative agronomic characters [traits] of soft wheat varieties [Triticum aestivum L. em. Thell] and the successful oral examination by the competent board of examiners. June 1987, I took an oath as a permanent Lecturer, Laboratory of Crop Production, by the unanimous decision of the board of electors. June 1991, I took an oath as a permanent Assistant Professor. April 1999, I took an oath as a permanent Associate Professor, Laboratory of Crop Production, by the unanimous decision of the board of electors. March 2004, I took an oath as a permanent Professor, by the unanimous decision of the board of electors. Since July 1990 until August 1991, special adviser to Mr. Michael Papaconstantinou, Minister of Agriculture, on field crop production issues. 1

Teaching special subjects during post graduate training seminars for agronomists, instruction of undergraduates to carry out their degree studies, as well as their undergraduate practical exercises. Many of the degree studies are about cotton, cereals, sunflower, aromatic and medicinal plants. Author of many articles about the cultural technique of field crops, including this of aromatic and medicinal plants. Participation to research programs about field crops carried out at the Laboratory of Crop Production of the Agricultural University of Athens. Author of many articles about cereals, cotton, tobacco, legumes and theirs Common Organization Market in the European Union. Author of many articles about the future of main field crops in Greece, with culture economical analysis. Some of these articles are about aromatic and medicinal plants.
