4 EFI PaceIntroduction Release s 5 Introduction This guide describes the changes made in EFI Pace version The first part of the guide describes the new feature and enhancement updates to the EFI Pace system, while the second part of the guide lists the defects repaired in version Before you upgrade your EFI Pace system to version 31.00, read the descriptions of the changes made to all the modules that you plan to use. Also read about the minimum system requirements and review any changes with other system users, as applicable. If you have any questions about how the changes may affect you or about changes that you must make to your system before you upgrade your system, please contact your EFI Pace Support representative. 5 6 EFI Pace Release s Version Enhancements This section summarizes the system enhancement updates in EFI Pace version by module, including the corresponding issue number. Refer to the Version Fixed Defects topic for detailed descriptions of all defects repaired in this version of EFI Pace. User Interface In response to Adobe s discontinuation of the Flash plug-in, the EFI Pace user interface no longer requires Adobe Flash. To prevent loss of functionality in the PaceStation and XPath editors, please upgrade to EFI Pace version or later before Adobe removes Flash support from all browsers. [PACE-48955] The breadcrumb menu now compensates for very long text strings. If the text string is too long to fit on the screen, you can hover the cursor over the breadcrumbs to view the entire text string. [PACE-53137] The breadcrumb menu now opens without delay and closes after you move the cursor outside the breadcrumb popover area. [PACE-51334] All pages in the system now display the GL Account and Name fields together as a single drop-down list. [PACE-45088] EFI Pace now automatically selects the last-used column field set you viewed when you reopen the same form. [PACE-51531] The system now displays the latest fold pattern graphics according to the JDF Fold pattern catalogue. [PACE-51527] Customizations can now utilize FontAwesome Pro v5.8.0 icons in addition to the EFI icons. You can find a list of EFI icons on the browser test page. For available FontAwesome pro icons, please refer to Data Collection [PACE-52801] You can now pull materials from the Task List page in the Data Collection module. When you stop a task from the Task List page, a pop-up window displays the job materials so you can pull materials and complete the labor transaction on one page. The Task List is available only if your system is licensed to use the EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow integration. [PACE-54006] You can click the Show Job Jacket button on the new Task List page to open the Job Jacket (jobcontroljacket.rpt) for the selected job. The Task List is available only if your system is licensed to use the EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow integration.

6 EFI PaceVersion Enhancements Release s 7 [PACE-168] EFI Pace's new Task List screen displays all job and job part notes associated with the task. Click the i icon to view all notes pertaining to a task on the new popup page. The Task List is available only if your system is licensed to use the EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow integration.

7 8 EFI Pace Release s [PACE-51789] You can now use the Validate Material field on the Inventory Setup Detail page to control the labor transaction option to pull a non-planned inventory item or add a new material. Select No in this field to enable system users to pull a non-planned inventory item. Select Yes in this field to enable users to pull the non-planned inventory item after confirming a warning message, or select Required in this field to restrict users from pulling a nonplanned inventory item. If you select Required, the inventory item does not appear as an option in the Inventory Item drop-down field. [PACE-52802] The system now distributes ganged job costs created by a task list ganged job activity according to the activity code configuration, either equally, by planned time, or by quantity.

8 EFI PaceVersion Enhancements Release s 9 [PACE-51834] You can now pull additional inventory items when performing a data collection activity. For example, if you use another paper to set up the press and then use another inventory item for the press run, the you can pull both inventory items under the same Data Collection transaction. [PACE-51208] The Task List page now includes the option to view all job costs (including notes) from one activity, so that you do not have to search on multiple pages. The Task List is available only if your system is licensed to use the EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow integration. [PACE-51186] The Task List page now includes a Refresh button, which you can configure on the Job Planning Setup page. When you enter a value (in minutes) in the Task List Auto Refresh field, the Refresh button appears on the Task List page. The Task List is available only if your system is licensed to use the EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow integration.

9 10 EFI Pace Release s [PACE-48542] The Pause and the Pause All buttons are now consolidated into a single Pause Open Activities button with the same functionality. [PACE-51281] Data Collection users can now view the job PERT chart of a task using the PERT View button on the Task List page. The Task List is available only if your system is licensed to use the EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow integration. [PACE-51203] EFI Pace now includes a new Task List button, which displays scheduled job plan tasks, filtered by the workstation activity codes. This button also enables you to start and stop planning activities and communicate directly with Scheduling applications (either EFI Pace Scheduling or PrintFlow). This feature enables you to start different chargeable activities in one location. The Task List option includes the following activities: Start and stop job activities (Equivalent to Start/Stop Activity) Start and stop multiple job activities (Equivalent to Start/Stop Ganged Activity) Filter activities based on workstation settings and date ranges Automatically refresh the activity list View job ticket View job notes View job Pert diagram View job activity history

10 EFI PaceVersion Enhancements Release s 11 Important It is strongly recommended that each system user who uses the Data Collection module has an assigned workstation. The Task List is available only if your system is licensed to use the EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow integration.

11 12 EFI Pace Release s [PACE-51149] If your EFI Pace system is integrated with EFI Pace Scheduling or PrintFlow, the DC Action screen displays the Task List button, which redirects you to the new Task List page. [PACE-51873] You can now pull materials when performing a ganged data collection activity with a time charge basis of Hours Entered or Preset Hours/Unit.

12 EFI PaceVersion Enhancements Release s 13 [PACE-48610] For efficiency purposes, the system now includes a More screen that includes the infrequently used actions from the Action screen. [PACE-51883] You can now pull other materials than those planned in Data Collection when you add transactions for hours entered or preset hours/unit time charge basis. [PACE-3163] You can now pull planned and non-planned inventory items when performing a ganged data collection activity.

13 14 EFI Pace Release s [PACE-47224] Data Collection users can now pull an inventory item that was not planned as part of a job when completing a labor cost transaction with elapsed time charge basis. [PACE-48694] All Go to Action Screen button labels are renamed Home for consistency across the Data Collection module. [PACE-48609] All Action buttons in the Data Collection module now appear at the top of the screen. [PACE-51280/PACE-43584] The system can now distribute job costs for ganged data collection activity across the ganged job parts either equally, or by planned hours or by planned quantity on the selected job plans.

14 EFI PaceVersion Enhancements Release s 15 [PACE-12146] You can now view all completed material pulls in the Data Collection module. When you click Completed Material Pulls, EFI Pace displays a page where you can view all the pulled materials, whether posted or unposted, in the Unposted Entries and Posted Entries areas. The Posted Entries area displays data for the past 3 days. [PACE-51308] The main screen in the Data Collection module no longer includes the Stop All Open Transactions button. Framework [PACE-52952] EFI Pace now supports inet EFI Pace continues to use version 15.1 as default, but you can select version 18.1 in the report settings. Please refer to for a list of changes between these versions. [PACE-51173] The EFI Pace Appliance now includes an embedded eflow application. You can use this application to connect to Auto-Count, as well as the ONESOURCE Tax Calculator and other eflow-based integrations. [PACE-47365] EFI Pace now supports SMB 2.0/3.0 network locations.

[PACE-49332] EFI Pace no longer includes the following end of life modules: Keypad Data Collection Prestige Scheduler Tricoder Device ios App Hardware [PACE-55104] Debian Stretch was updated to address Linux Q vulnerabilities. Inventory [PACE-51623] EFI Pace includes the Lots and Revisions features, which provide the following benefits: You can now track Lots and Revisions on Inventory Items. When you enable the Track Lots And Revisions feature on the Inventory Item Type, the system tracks all Lots and Revisions on all inventory transactions. PACE-51623: You can now add a revision to a Job Material record if the job material is linked to an inventory item and you selected the Track Lots And Revisions check box on the Inventory Item Type record. PACE-33717: Cycle count reports now include lots and revisions if you configure the inventory item type accordingly. PACE-51477: When you build a kit and use lots & revisions, you can now select revisions of the kit components. PACE-51296: You can now add a revision to a Job Material record if the job material is linked to an inventory item and you selected the Track Lots And Revisions check box on the Inventory Item Type record. PACE-52412: The Lot Add page and Revision Add page now displays the inventory item from the Inventory Line Detail page. When you add a finished goods job, you can now select a revision on the Inventory Items tab. The Revision field value includes the default revision from the inventory item, but you can change it to an alternate revision or clear the field. When you create the job, the system populates the revision information on the job material. PACE-52011: Transfer and Count Inventory transactions now include Revision and Lot fields if the Track Lots & Revision check box is selected on the associated Inventory Item Type. PACE-51931: The Remove From Inventory page now includes the Revision and Lot fields with default values from the original Ship To Inventory transactions. PACE-51619: You must enter the revision and lot for any Ship to Inventory record if the inventory item type has the Track Lots & Revisions check box selected. The system uses the default revision from the inventory item and the lot with the highest sequence. You can edit the Revision and Lot fields as needed. PACE-50551: When you pull a material, you must enter the revision and lot if the Track Lots & Revisions check box is selected for the inventory item type. PACE-49721: The Inventory Movement List for an inventory item now includes the lot and revision used. These columns are displayed-only, and available only if the Track Lots and Revisions feature is enabled for the inventory item type.

16 EFI PaceVersion Enhancements Release s 17 PACE-51930: For job costs associated with Ship To inventory transactions, you can now view the revision and lot to which the transaction was posted. PACE-52008: The Inventory Location, Inventory Location Quantity, Inventory Bin and Inventory Bin Quantity pages now include the Serial ID or Revision and Lot used on the inventory transactions. PACE-51624: You can now select a revision on an estimate item linked to an inventory item, and the system populates the job part with the revision information when you convert the estimate to a job. PACE-50550: When you add a new lot or revision, EFI Pace assigns the next lot and revision numbers from the Inventory Settings Detail page to the new records. When you receive a purchase order line and do not select a revision, EFI Pace uses the one from the Inventory Item record if available, or the next number from the Inventory Settings Detail page by default. When you receive a purchase order line and do not select a lot number, the system creates a new lot using the number from the Inventory Settings Detail page. PACE-50553: If you enable the Track Lots & Revisions feature on an inventory item type, you must select a lot and revision to receive a purchase order for the corresponding inventory item. When you receive the purchase order line and post the inventory transactions, the system updates the quantity on hand of the lot and the revision. PACE-51253: The Lots and Revisions area of the Inventory Item Detail page now includes a Sequence column, and the Lots and Revisions Detail page now includes a Sequence field. PACE-50549: The Inventory Item object now includes two new child data objects, Revision and Lot. PACE-48894: The Object Model Browser now includes the Lot And Revision enhancement functionality. PACE-48897: The Inventory Item Type Add and Detail pages now include the Track Lots And Revisions check box. PACE-48905: The Inventory Setup Detail page now includes the Lot ID and Revision ID fields. [PACE-53603] You can now add inventory transactions directly from the Inventory Item context menu.

17 18 EFI Pace Release s [PACE-52494] EFI Pace now includes the Convert Inventory feature, which enables you to define source and output inventory items, as well as pull the source items and receive the output items in a single step. This enables you to perform transactions such as paper cutting transactions, where you cut a large sheet into smaller sheets that are then received into inventory. [PACE-52853] You can now search by Description, Inventory Type and Tags, when you click the Pick button for Inventory Item records. Job Billing [PACE-48129] You can now reverse an individual invoice that is part of a consolidated invoice. You can also reverse all the invoices that make up a receivable for the consolidated invoice. [PACE-48127] The Invoices tab of Receivable records for consolidated invoices now indicate whether an individual invoice includes an applied Debit/Credit. [PACE-48128] You can now reverse a single invoice that has been processed and posted as part of a consolidated invoice. Job Control Center [PACE-53517] When you duplicate a job and change the customer, the system maintains the current sales category on the job, job product, and job parts, provided you linked the job part to an estimate part or entered a value for the job part, job product type, and sales category. [PACE-48565] If your EFI Pace system is integrated with EFI Pace Scheduler or PrintFlow, you can no longer change the Job Admin or Production status to a status that does not have the Sched Ok check box selected on a scheduled job if there are open data collection transaction associated with the related job plans. Please note that this feature also applies when changing the Ready To Schedule check box and reconverting estimates. If you must reconvert an estimate to an existing scheduled job with open data collection transactions, you must select a status on the Estimate Conversion page to one with the Sched Ok check box selected. [PACE-45001] On the Job Part Detail page, the Job Materials area now displays inventory items as clickable links, rather than only Inventory Item IDs. [PACE-52657] The Job Control Center Setup Detail page now includes an option to control the shipment of a job, job part and job product. Licensing [PACE-49269] You now receive the "Time Zone" and "Multi-Company" licenses by default as part of EFI Pace v PaceConnect-Metrix If your system includes the PaceConnect-Metrix integration, it is recommended that you uninstall the previous Metrix version and install the latest version of Metrix before you upgrade EFI Pace to version PaceConnect-PrintFlow [PACE-52463] If your company has a cloud-hosted EFI Pace system and an in house-hosted PrintFlow application, you can now use eflow instead of direct communication.

18 EFI PaceVersion Enhancements Release s 19 PaceConnect-PrintStream EFI Pace version in Midmarket Print Suite version 7.0 uses BOD version 3.7, and is not compatible with the 6.1 Suite version of PrintStream. Therefore, if your system includes the PaceConnect-PrintStream integration, you must do all of the following: 1. Upgrade EFI Pace to version Upgrade PrintStream to version or higher (compatible with BOD version 3.7). 3. Navigate to Streamline.Fulfilment.main > Definitions > System Parameters > EFI Integration > BOD Version and set the BOD version to PaceStation In response to Adobe s discontinuation of the Flash plug-in, PaceStation was redesigned in EFI Pace version to remove all Adobe Flash dependencies and provide a better user interface and overall customer experience. [PACE-45952] The PaceStation Search field now displays a drop-down list for foreign key values, rather than requiring you to enter the object ID. [PACE-32047] You can now set a dynamic, current-user-related filter in PaceStation. Filters that refer to either the System User or any foreign key field from the SystemUser, likeestimator, CRM, SalesPerson, Contact, or Manufacturing Location objects now display a Current-User option. If you select this option, the system filters by the user currently logged into the PaceStation. You can use this option in conjunction with the Productivity Workbench to create personalized widgets. Purchasing [PACE-49038] The PO Receiving Worksheet (purchase-order-receiving-worksheet-r1.rpt) now accounts for the PO line status. If the PO line status is Received but the received quantity is less than the ordered quantity, the PO Receiving Worksheet displays a balance of 0. [PACE-51727] The Purchase Order report (purchase-order-r1.rpt) now includes a Revision parameter. When you select Y in the Revision parameter and purchase order lines include a revision, the system includes the Revision Number on the Purchase Order report. Reports [PACE-53925] You can now add a note when you add or modify a report file. Workbench [PACE-53551] Workbench now supports SQL queries to the EFI Pace Database. This enables you to write more advanced widgets with SQL queries in addition to creating workbench widgets from PaceStation. Tip These queries are the same ones used in the inet report writer. [PACE-52414] EFI Pace now supports the "Default Layout" feature in Workbench, which enables you to configure a default layout in Workbench for different roles. When a user log into Workbench for the first time, the default layout appears, eliminating the need to configure a Workbench view. If you assigned the EFI Pace user to multiple system groups, you can define which group includes the primary Workbench role that determines the default layout. Navigate to the EFI Pace System User record, select the main System Group record, and then select the Default Menu check box to set both the default menu and the default Workbench role.

19 20 EFI Pace Release s If you select the Current User Filter option in PaceStation, each Workbench user sees a personalized, filtered widget. XPath [PACE-48657] The flash-based XPath editor was replaced by a new XPath editor with an interactive menu that displays all available fields, parent objects, child objects, foreign keys, depends-on objects and functions. The XPath editor opens immediately when you click an XPath-type field. The XPath editor also displays how long it takes to query an XPath, so you can evaluate performance and avoid slow, performance-intensive expressions. User Interface PACE PACE PACE PACE PACE PACE PACE PACE PACE You can now use the Select (all) feature in grids with a Microsoft Edge browser. Job Jacket and Job Part Jacket reports (jobcontrol-jacket.rpt) now display the correct Wgt attribute. When you create a purchase order line from an inventory item and use a custom vendor, the system applies the correct vendor to the purchase order line. If you use a Chrome browser, version 73 or higher, you can now access composite UOM fields throughout EFI Pace by clicking the field. The EFI Pace Help menu now appears on all pages, including pop-up pages, and you can now open the history/audit log from the Help menu. EFI Pace now correctly displays pages, even after you zoom or resize the page. You can now use the Ctrl+S keyboard shortcut to update pages without error. When you set object context permissions, you can select the All check box to check all objects, or select each object individually. List pages were enhanced to look better when being printed: Columns fit better on the page. Colors optimized for black and white printing. Layout is more printer-friendly Accounts Receivable PACE When you add negative invoices, the system correctly uses the Tax Rate 2 value to calculate negative tax amounts. Additionally, when you force a negative tax base and a negative tax amount on an invoice that includes a non-taxable Customer record, the system automatically changes the invoice to Taxable to maintain correct tax reporting

After you create and update the Job Part to a PO Line, EFI Pace renders the Pert diagram correctly when associating the PO task to the appropriate job part PaceConnect-Digital StoreFront PACE The system no longer changes the original job description to the item template description when you gang job parts that are removed from a combo job PaceConnect-Metrix If your system includes the PaceConnect-Metrix integration, it is recommended that you uninstall the previous Metrix version and install the latest version of Metrix before you upgrade EFI Pace to version PACE You can now launch Metrix Edit without error PACE PACE PACE Estimate creation and conversion no longer reverts the edited imposition allowance bleeds. You can now have leave the Field Set Name field blank in the User- Defined Query editor. The default value for the Detail Icon To Link To field is now Detail when you create a PaceStation inquiry. The system maintains the filter criteria for PaceStation Lists with promptable filters when you update the page, or go to the next page. List pages include the following enhancements for a more printerfriendly layout: - Columns better fit the page. - Colors optimized for black and white printing. You can now use the Enter key on the keyboard to search for PaceStation filters. When you export to a spreadsheet, EFI Pace now limits the content of a single cell in Excel to a maximum cell length of characters. The EFI Pace main menu now includes custom PaceStation inquiries and reports that have a module configured, without the need for additional user permissions Purchasing PACE PACE PACE PACE PACE EFI Pace now populates the correct UOMs when you create a purchase order from production, even if the inventory item includes multiple vendors. When you add a new purchase order from a job material or job part buy out, and the Auto Number Only feature is not enabled for the default Purchase Order Type, the PO# field appears so you can enter a purchaser order number. The Purchase Order report (purchase-order-r1.rpt) now includes the purchasing from the Company Setup Detail page instead of the accounting . The system now keeps the Purchase Order line sections on the Purchase Order report (purchase-order-r1.rpt) together when determining the background color. When you duplicate an existing purchase order, the system populates the Ship To Contact on the Address Information tab with the duplicated purchase order information, rather than the vendor information

26 EFI PaceDatabase Changes Release s 27 Database Changes You should run the Version Compare Tool in the EFI Pace Admin Console before you upgrade your EFI Pace system. This tool enables you to view all the changes made to the database in EFI Pace version since your last upgrade. Because these changes may affect custom jobs or reports in your system, you should check and modify any customizations as necessary to match the new database schema. To compare versions of EFI Pace, do all of the following: 1 Navigate to the Backup/Upgrade section of the EFI Pace Admin Console main page and click Version Comparison Tool. Tip: Refer to the Admin Console guide in the EFI Pace Online Help system for information on how to log into the EFI Pace Admin Console and additional details. The Version Compare Tool page appears. 2 Do all of the following: In the Old Version field, select your current version of EFI Pace. In the New Version field, select the version of EFI Pace to which you want to upgrade. Click Show Differences. The Version Compare Tool page refreshes, with a list of statistics and differences between the two version of EFI Pace that you selected, including new, modified, and removed fields and objects.
