2 Introduction Abstract: Process Content Packs allow you to quickly apply prescriptive configurations for business processes to a new IBM SmartCloud Control Desk for quick time to value. Objectives: Understand the purpose of Process Content Packs Install Process Content Pack Hardware Asset Management Use the Process Content Pack configurations 2

3 Product Overview Process Content Packs built with ITIL guidelines and real-world best practices Pre-packaged content for IBM SmartCloud Control Desk that allow processes to be rapidly deployed. Provide product configurations to support processes based upon IBM and industry recommendations that can be deployed in minutes to dramatically reduce the time to value. Take advantage of key features and functions reducing the reliance of consulting and/or deep product knowledge for quick wins supporting successful deployments. Include detailed documentation to reduce training, user documentation and product adoption time. 3

6 Installation Pre-requisites Install IBM SmartCloud Control Desk 7.5 Complete the post-installation steps in the product installation guide Organization, Sets, Site, Clearing Account Pack Installation Steps Login to IBM SmartCloud Control Desk as maxadmin Go to ISM Content Installer application Download Process Content Pack Review components and replacement values Click Install (time to install approx. 1 min) Restart MXServer in WebSphere or WebLogic Pack Post-installation Steps (see Pack documentation) Create client specific data Users, People, Item Master, Assets, Locations Add users & people to groups, items, assets 6

11 Troubleshooting This problem is caused by having an empty IBM_FMGR person group. To avoid this error, verify that you have at least one person as a member of the person group. 11

12 Troubleshooting This is caused by the new synonym of REJECTED having been added by the Service Catalog package, but the MXServer has not been restarted. Stop and start the MXServer. 12
