An extensive, installed base of systems is the keystone to its evolutionary design and engineering. It is designed to work in a GMP environment and complies with FDA 21 CFR part 11 to meet the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical segment. Whether customers are installing in-house printing for the first time, retrofitting, or upgrading from analogue technology, Hapa s expertise smooths the way to improved agility and efficiency. 3 DIGITAL PRINTING MODULE Scalable, the platform s digital redcube plus printing module future-proofs production lines. Its capability can be increased from single to six spot colors or WCMYK, plus lacquer. An LED curing unit polymerizes the inks immediately. A flush function ensures that the print module can be placed into standby for extended periods. Printhead maintenance is automatic so that no production time is lost to manual cleaning. The system prints up to 60 meters per minute with a resolution of 720 x 720 dpi. Text, graphics, and codes are sharp, even on paper-back foils. Head-on, the redcube plus meets the future challenges of serialization down to pocket-specific print with accurate, high-resolution print. SMART HMI The HMI is recipe-driven, intuitive and scalable. It provides a single point of entry for artwork, variables, and machine set-up. User access levels and audit trail comply with pharmaceutical requirements. The software monitors performance statistics, subsystem status, and synchronizes with other devices up- and downstream. The control interface can be run via any Ethernet-connected web browser.

4 A GROWTH PLATFORM Whatever the printing production needs, the Web 4.0 platform will deliver. The rollout of Web 4.0 printing systems is to include flexographic, WCMYK, and hybrids. Top-, stand-mounted, and roll-to-roll systems are available. The hybrid systems will accommodate any combination of up to four flexo and six digital printing units. Platform options include integration into a digital workflow or ERP system, a pretreatment station, and pinning station(s) to control ink flow or fulfill color-on-color printing or to ensure print quality on porous materials. INDUSTRY 4.0 READY The Web 4.0 platform systems will be at home in a digital, Industry 4.0 factory. The user experience is harmonized across the various Hapa printing applications, which enhances operability and productivity. The condition of the systems can be monitored singly or collectively, and valuable data about a system s status can be collected over OPC UA architecture. As a result, the actions necessary to optimize asset utilization are ready to be implemented.
