5 MODULO RADIANTE is the first modular raised floor that combines the technical need that more frequently happen during the setting ups of buildings and areas dedicated to the tertiary sector (inspection of the cables and of the underlying systems without interrupting the working activity, easy reconfiguration of the office lay-out), thermal (comfort, low energy consumption and low environmental impact) and aesthetic requirements. The time, which is necessary to reach the full working capacity, is significantly reduced compared to a traditional radiant floor systems, as well as the time needed to remove/replace tiles, to modify or to extend the lay-out. Thanks to the low thermal inertia the heat up time is absolutely shorter, compared to a traditional radiant floor system. 6 Every module is composed of a bent and punched steel basin to contain a vertical stiffening structure, to grant a high mechanical resistance. The vertical structure provides housing for the 5 layers MidiX pipe (10x1,3 mm). MidiX pipe has an oxygen permeability lower than 3,6 mg/m per day at a temperature of 80 C and 0,32 mg/m³ per day at a temperature of 40 C. Modules are filled with expanded cellular concrete (density 1400 kg/m³), highly insolating and sound absorbent. A zinc-coated steel top cover (DX51D) ensures a perfect closure of the respectively upper and perimetrical parts of the module. To the thickness of the panel, the minumum one of the tile, which can vary between 3-10 mm (according to the preferred material), can be added a top finishing tile. The system is suitable for offices and / or environments where a raised floor is necessary, that guarantees the possibility of inspection, either in the interspace below, or in the installation placed there (f.e. electrical cables or network cables), allowing flexibility in the organization of work stations. The system must be able to match any structures built by specialized companies. The surface temperature must correspond to the physiological needs of hygiene and respect the rule of maximum 29 C. The components of the system must comply with the UNI EN ISO and / or DIN affecting them and specified below. The module should consist of a basin containing an armor core composed of vertical elements, and shear-bended elements that give mechanical resistance to the whole; in the core must be placed a heating octene-polyethylene tubing, copolymer of PE-RT MidiX Composite type (DIN and DIN 4721) with a barrier thickness of the tube and oxygen in the oxygen permeability of less than 0.01 g/m 3 per day (UNI EN and DIN 4726); these characteristics of mechanical strength, according to ISO 10508, make it belong to class 4, with operating pressure above 10 bar, to the class 5 with higher operating pressure 6 bar. The pipe has a life expectancy of more than 50 years, diameter 10 mm and thickness 1.3 mm (UNI EN ); the square footage of the pipe must be such as to ensure uniformity of surface temperature and heat output required in the project. Basin, core and pipe are covered by a concrete cell foam with a density of 1400 kg/m 3. The module must be complete with metal lid with upper galvanized steel finish, which guarantees the upper and the perimeter closure of the module. The supply must include the fiberglass insulation mat (treated with thermosetting resins), covered with aluminized Kraft paper, in order to reduce heat and radiation transmission to the cavity below the floor. The mat must have thermal conductivity λ equal to W / mk and a thickness of about 100 mm and has to be housed on the bottom of a screed, on which the raised radiant system is installed. The power of the modules must be given through lines of distribution, made with of PE-RT tubing and with above detailed features, diameter 20 mm and thickness of 2 mm (UNI EN ), these lines should be detectable on the length of the executive drawing of the project, whereas the maximum number of modules powered from any line must be equal to 44. The system is sold complete with: radiant modules, distribution lines insulated with foamed polyethylene sheathing (installed with the technique of reverse return) and securing sufficient material up to standard agreement, then plug connectors for the modules to the line distribution (designed and made according to existing regulations). The system must be provided with documentation showing the performance(to be determined by numerical simulations with definite differences according to EN 15377).

9 The load-bearing structure consists of 3 elements: support feet with threaded rod assembled on a circular backing base (ø 100mm); a crossed head support, allowing the resistance of the modular elements and the adjustment of the height of the floor in a micrometric way; the galvanized stainless steel stringers, with U section, on which a linear gasket is placed. The load-bearing structure will be installed after squaring and tracking the area. The panels are fitted on the main structure, after connecting the tubing to the underlying distribution line previously posed. The dry laying allows the fast installation of the system, modularity makes it customizable even in the planning stage. Panels with metal finishing ensure even a better thermal conduction, as well the possibility of customizing it with drawings or marks, placing lights into the tiles, holing the tiles to provide an extra ventilation, and more design options, which will improve and optimize your environment. 11 The uniformity of superficial temperature is guaranteed, as evidenced by the results of a thermographic analysis on operating Modulo Radiante installed at the Elektro A. Haller shop of Frangarto/Appiano (BZ). Phases from the heating up to the full functioning of the system: 1 - off 2 - after 20 min 3 - after 45 min 4 - steady The performance of a radiant system is determined by the difference between the operating temperature together with the waitng times to reach a temperature of comfort of the room, in which it operates and the average temperature of the radiant surface. The more the radiant modules employed to supply the necessary power to heat the rooms are, the wider the active surface is for the purpose and the waiting times to reach the comfort temperature. Consequently, the lower is the necessary superficial temperature. The highest power for the heating of each module is 35W (that is to say 97,2 W/m 2 for a homogenous superficial temperature of 29 C). Such a power is avaible with an input water temperature from 35 C to 40 C. This variability depends on the type of the finish, which has been chosen for each module. The number of radiating modules and their allocation should be carefully evaluated during the design phase, not only to ensure the temperature of comfort with the lowest surface temperature, but also to ensure that the system set-up times reflect the needs of the user. For the conditioning the highest available power is 26 W/m 2 with an input water temperature of 18 C. In order to avoid condense, it is suggested an air treatment, using f.e. dehumidifier or dehu air conditioner.

The total power can be committed 200% of the room, which has to be heated, if the boundary conditions are less favorable up to decrease significantly in the case of properly isolated structures.
