1 Addendum # 6 Date: March 16, 2017 RFT Construction of New Building Addition to the Town of Caledon Yard 1 Garage Building Closing Date: Friday, March 17, :00 PM This addendum refers to additions, deletions, modifications and clarifications which hereby become an integral part of the original Bid Documents and Contract Documents and shall be read in conjunction with the same. No consideration will be allowed for extras to the contract due to the Bidder not being familiar with this Addendum. Question and Responses Question 1: Response 1: Addenda 3, 4 and 5 still do not indicate eight of exterior (OUTSIDE) chain link fence. Please provide material to use, height and if a gate is required to access the enclosed area which holds heat pumps and cistern. Exterior chain link fence to comply to enclosed details OPSD , OPSD and OPSD Fence to be manufactured by Acculink Fence & Wire Inc. or approved similar. Provide 6ft high fence with overhead bracing and a 4ft wide gate. Provide 4ft deep concrete foundation at post locations and ensure the post doesn t heave. Question 2: Response 2: Gauge of 7/8" corrugated metal panel by Westman still not provided. Please provide. Do we use 24, 26, 29, is it galvanized or is it colour finish? There was a typo in specification header. Specification pages # are titled Section Plastic Toilet and Shower Compartments, and shall be replaced with enclosed Section Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim. Refer to Architectural Contract Drawings for quantities and locations Provide necessary fastenings Provide 2 thick x 13 long chain link fastened to scupper at Entrance Canopy near Door D EXECUTION 3.1 Manufacturer s Instructions Compliance: Comply with manufacturer's written recommendations, including product technical bulletins, handling, storage and installation instructions and datasheets. 3.2 Installation Install sheet metal work in accordance with AAI-Aluminum Sheet Metal Work in Building Construction and as detailed Use concealed fastenings except where approved before installation Provide underlay under sheet metal:.1 Secure in place and lap joints 100mm Counterflash bituminous flashings at intersections of roof with vertical surfaces and curbs:.1 Flash joints using S-lock forming tight fit over hook strips, as detailed Lock end joints and caulk with sealant Install surface mounted reglets true and level and caulk top of reglet with sealant Insert metal flashing into reglets under cap flashing to form weather tight junction Turn top edge of flashing into recessed reglet or mortar joint minimum of 25mm.
