18 CONSTRUCTION DETAILS ROOF SYSTEM ALL roofs are built with trusses every 24" on center and 7/16" sheathing with 40 year metal or 40 year shingles. TRUSS PLATES We use steel truss plates on all trusses and door frames. LOFT AREAS All lofted buildings have two loft areas; one on each end of the building with an open access area between the two lofts. Lofts are built with 2"x4" or 2"x6" loft joists and sheathed on top to make a nice loft fl oor. FRAME CONSTRUCTION Framing consists of 2"x4" studs every 16" on center. Buildings with treated T1-11 siding have studs every 24" on center except for cabins which are also 16" on center. DOUBLE TOP PLATES ALL walls are constructed with double top plates. DOORS Our 2"x4" reinforced doors are designed to seal out rain and rodents. Key locked for your protection. TREATED SKIDS We use 4"x6" treated skids that are notched to securely hold the fl oor joists. FLOOR CONSTRUCTION With our 4"x6" skids, treated 2"x4" or 2"x6" fl oor joists and treated 5/8" or 3/4" fl ooring, we have one of the strongest fl oor systems in the industry. 19 PREPARING YOUR SITE & DELIVERY PROCESS SITE PREPARATION It is the customer s responsibility to obtain any/all necessary permits and follow zoning requirements. Countryside Barns recommends using a 4" 5" gravel base for your building. (see picture on right) The site where the building will be placed should be level and ready for the building prior to delivery. DELIVERY To offer you the best possible delivery service, we oversee and control the entire process from scheduling the delivery date and time to owning our own delivery equipment and employing our own professional delivery drivers. Using our state-of-the-art equipment, your new building will be carefully placed on your readied site by our delivery experts. We use a special machine, called the Mule, that minimizes the impact on your manicured lawn. Countryside Barns is glad to offer FREE delivery and set-up of your building within 100 miles of our main office and manufacturing facility in Eureka, IL. Upon completion of your building, we will call you to schedule a delivery date and time. STANDARD FREE DELIVERY AND SET-UP REQUIRES: 1. Ability to access your location. 2.
