6 Why Use STEP Warmfloor Under Tile Floors? Self-regulation properties. Element works like a floor sensor, drawing more energy when colder and less when warm. Element is only 3/64 Nail directly through the STEP Warmfloor heating element while not damaging the integrity Can go in wet areas 24volt ac or dc 6

16 Elements Below Cement Backer Unit Below underlayment Recess the element connections into the subfloor, this will help thin setting backer board. Consider dropping element wires directly below subfloor Mark element bus braids prior to nailing or stapling underlayment down Do not use mastics or glues over heating elements

21 Elements Above Cement Backer Unit Recess the element connections into the underlayment, this will help in laying tile nice and flat First imbed the heating element with thin set. Trowel in thin set mortar to set tiles. Do not use mastics or glues over heating elements
