3 40 years ago, KEMPEROL V 210 was the first waterproofing in liquid form to be launched on the market. A high-tech product of the modern building chemicals industry. Today, KEMPEROL is the world leader in waterproofing systems based on liquid-applied resin systems. There are good reasons why clients, architects and contractors throughout the world choose to waterproof their buildings with KEMPEROL : KEMPEROL is applied in liquid form and so adapts to all the contours of the substrate as though it was tailor-made for it. Even complicated details are easy to integrate into the general roof waterproofing. In most cases refurbishment is possible without having to remove and dispose of the old roof finishes. That saves time and costs. The long-term reliability proven in practice prolongs the replacement intervals and ensures more secure planning. The finished waterproofing system is only a few millimetres thick, the extra load minimal. KEMPEROL bonds to almost all substrates without the need for additional mechanical fixings. 6 KEMPEROL V 210 fits like a second skin Guarantee of quality A 5-year warranty on materials and function deposited with the German Association of Roofing Contractors (ZVDH). Approval KEMPEROL V 210 is approved according to German Construction Products List B1 3.4 and has been tested to EOTA Directive ETAG 005 (CE marking). Furthermore, KEM- PEROL is monitored by an independent testing body and undergoes constant quality control measures carried out in the KEMPER SYSTEM laboratories. Waterproofing systems using plastics in liquid form are described in section 3.5 (1) in the guidelines for roofs with waterproof membranes, the manual of the German roofing trade Materials and facts KEMPEROL V 210 is a three-part polyester-resin-based waterproofing system components A and B plus a catalytic powder (component C) which is supplied and applied as a liquid; that makes it ideal for waterproofing flat roofs, sealing details and forming junctions. This waterproofing system can be used for repairs but also on new buildings because it forms a homogeneous adhesive bond with almost all old and new substrates. KEMPEROL is a "breathing" membrane that lets vapour through, but is also permanently resilient, unaffected by UV light, resistant to root penetration and economical to lay. KEMPEROL V 210 is supplied in grey as standard, but other colours are available on request. Laying The substrate of the surfaces to be waterproofed must be dry, sound and free from any substances that might impair the bond, and must be prepared accordingly. Substrates such as bituminous roofing, asphalt, concrete, steel, etc. should be pretreated with an approved primer. KEMPEROL V 210 may not be mixed and laid when the substrate and ambient temperatures drop below +5 C. Mixing: Add KEMPEROL CP Catalytist Powder (component C) to KEMPEROL V 210 component A and mix it in thoroughly. Stir component B and then mix it into components A + C in the ratio 1:1 until the mixture takes on a uniform colour free from streaks. KEMPEROL is laid in a wet-in-wet procedure: Spread the first coat evenly over the substrate with a nylon roller. Roll out the reinforcing fleece into the wet resin taking care to avoid all air bubbles and folds. Then apply a further coat of KEM- PEROL before the first coat is dry to ensure that the fleece is fully saturated. This permanently resilient material applied as a liquid cures in situ to form a homogeneous layer which adheres to the substrate across its full area. The waterproofing is rainproof after about 30 minutes, and is fully cured after about 72 hours.
