It shall be considered part of the respective Contract Documents, dated March 13, Issued for Construction. SPECIFICATIONS: SECTION NO. 5 FLAME CONTROL NO A 15 Minute Thermal Barrier on Spray Polyurethane Foam A Low VOC, Water Based Product Product Description: Flame Control No A has met the criteria for use as a 15-minute thermal barrier on Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF). No A is a low VOC, water-based intumescent coating that dries to a flat finish. No A was subjected to flammability testing per NFPA 286 and successfully met the criteria listed in the 2006, 2009, 2012, and 2015 International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC) Flame Control No A is suitable for use in inhabited spaces where spray foam insulation must be separated from the interior of the building per IBC Section special approval. To touch: 1-2 Hours To Recoat: 2 4 hours Thermal Barrier Spread Rate 20 mils WFT: 80 Sq Ft/Gallon 18 mils WFT: 89 Sq Ft/Gallon Surface Preparation: All surfaces to be painted must be clean and cured. The foam must be firm, dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, wax, grease, and mildew. The quality of any paint job is only as good as the surface preparation that precedes the paint application. Flame Control 60-60A has excellent bonding characteristics and will adhere to most sound, clean, foam surfaces. Make sure the surface of the foam is free of holes, exposed cells, and that the surface is stable and not crumbling or deteriorated. If any defects are found, repair them prior to proceeding. Mildew should be removed by scrubbing with a 25% solution of household bleach water. Tri-sodium phosphate (TSP) or common laundry powder such as Tide may be added to solution to assist removal. Temperature: 60-60A is water based coating which will freeze at temperatures below 32 F. Care should be taken to protect the material from freezing. Should 60-60A freeze, warm the material to at least 60 F and thoroughly mix prior to application. It is not recommended to store material at temperatures below 50 F. Do not apply 60-60A when ambient air and substrate temperatures fall below 50 F. Store at 50 F to 80 F. Important: Humidity 65% and higher must use fans to move air for curing. High humidity may require longer cure times. Please consult with your local code officials to verify that your application complies with the appropriate code requirements. Material Preparation:

6 FLAME CONTROL NO A 15 Minute Thermal Barrier on Spray Polyurethane Foam A Low VOC, Water Based Product 60-60A must be thoroughly mixed before application. Failure to do so will compromise the protective capabilities of Flame Control 60-60A. We recommend mechanical stirring with a high speed drill and a paddle appropriate for the size container. Contents should be stirred from the bottom up, making sure to scrape the bottom and sides with a paint stick as you go. Contents should be stirred to a creamy consistency with no lumps A is a water based product and slight thinning will not hurt the product. It should be noted that thinning increases the likelihood of not applying the proper film thickness, resulting in decreased fire protection capabilities. It is the sole responsibility of the applicator to ensure the proper film thickness has been applied A should never be mixed with other materials, however tinting using universal paint tint is acceptable A can be tinted up to a maximum of 2 fluid ounces per gallon (10 ounces per 5-gallon pail). Application Equipment: 60-60A can be applied by brush, roller or airless sprayer. Brushing: Use top quality polyester/nylon blend brushes Rolling: 3/8 polyester blend nap roller covers generally work well when applying 60-60A by roller. Spraying: Airless Spray Minimum: PSI: 3000 PSI or higher or equivalent Filter: 30 mesh, removal of filter is recommend from gun and machine Hose: 1/4 diameter airless spray line for the first 50 from pump and ¼ x 6 whip Tip: GPM:.95 For best results use, Hose: 3/8 diameter airless spray line for the first 50 from pump and ¼ x 6 whip and no filters gun and machine. Use applicators and techniques best suited to the type of foam being applied. Do not paint over dirt, rust, scale, grease, moisture, scuffed surfaces, or conditions detrimental to forming a durable paint film. Paint surfaces behind movable equipment and furniture the same as similar exposed surfaces. Coverage: Check test report for square feet per gallon and mil thickness. Example: At a rate of approximately 20 wet 80 square feet per gallon, application dry film thickness (DFT) will be approximately 10.3 mils. The final (DFT) will vary and depends on the substrate of the specific assembles. Checklist Before You Start: Temperature - Is temperature within limits (50 to 90 F)? Humidity - Is the relative humidity less than 65%? Consistency - Are the contents thoroughly mixed? Surface - Are all substrates clean, dry and sound? Measurement - Wet film gauge on site? Since there is no lead report for the areas that are existing to remain, should an allowance be created for abatement items that are to remain? 6. Sprinkler specification notes that the sprinkler contractor needs to be a subcontractor to the plumbing contracted. Please confirm this is not required.

Spec section notes that the existing sprinkler system needs to remain in operation throughout the construction period and be in operation at the end of each day. Please confirm this is not required for this project as the existing branch lines and heads are being removed and the entire system is being changed from glycol to wet system. 2. Both the A101 Contract and the A201 General Conditions reference Supplemental Conditions of the Contract. Please provide a copy of the Supplemental Conditions of the Contract. 3. The AIA document A notes that the Contractor shall be responsible for paying deductibles associated with the Builder s Risk insurance that is provided by the Owner. What is the deductible amount? 4. The AIA document A101 notes that the Contractor is expected to comply with CAD Standards for Bucknell University. Please provide a copy of those standards. 5. Are dual shades solar fabric and blackout fabric required at all exterior windows, or only at the motorized shade in room # 102? Is single shade fabric to be used on all other rooms, and if so, what is the specified fabric? 6. Spec section B indicates performance requirements are Bucknell University general signage standards. Please provide signage standards. 7. Follow up to HVAC scope added in addendum #2. More information is needed to accurately quantify a scope for this work. It is recommended that either an allowance be provided for these existing fan coils or provide a selection of a replacement fan coil. In the scope listed in addendum #2 it notes to Place any parts to make the unit fully operational. Contractors are not aware what parts are needed during the bidding phase. Do the motor needs replaced? What about cosmetic issues in the existing units? 8. Alternate #3 description indicates that the patio lighting is in the base bid and the alternate would be to delete these lights. Note 2 on E202 would indicate that Alternate #3 would include the patio lights. Please confirm.

17 RFI Please confirm what the following symbol represents on the electrical drawings. 10. The ceramic wall tile and ceramic tile base have not been designated on the Room Finish Schedule.
