1 SUMP SYSTEM HI 595 CF & D utilize a Sump System to send captured liquids back to the process system. There is a Sump Tank and a Hanging Sump Pile on D, and a Sump tank on CF. The Sump Tank (ABH-3000) on D collects liquids from the Top deck drains and the Hanging Sump Pile Pump, (PBH-3000). The water collected goes out an overboard water leg. The oil skimmed off of the water is pumped to the Performax Skimmer Tanks (NBM-2200/2300) via the Sump Tank Pump (PBH-4000). The Hanging Sump Pile on D collects liquids from the Bottom deck drains. Total fluid from the Hanging Sump Pile is pumped to the Sump Tank, (ABH-3000) via the Hanging Sump Pile Pump, (PBH-3000) The Sump Tank (ABH-4510) on CF collects liquids from the deck drains and skids. The water collected goes out an overboard water leg. The oil skimmed off of the water is pumped to one of the Oil Treaters (NBK-1400/1500) via the Sump Pumps (PBH-4560/4570). 3 4. Verify the following for each Sump Pump: a. Sump Tank, ABH-3000 (D-Platform) Verify suction is open from the Sump Tank to Sump Pump Verify discharge is open to the Skimmer Tanks b. Hanging Sump Pile, ABH-2000 (D-Platform) Verify suction is open from the Hanging Sump Pile to Hanging Sump Pile Pump Verify discharge is open to the Sump Tank, ABH-3000 c. Sump Tank, ABH-4510 (CF-Platform) Verify suction is open from the Sump Tank to Sump Pump Verify discharge is open to the Treaters 5. Continue facility Start-up Procedures REFER TO: Section 3 Part B (step 5) 6. D Sump Tank, ABH-3000 & Sump Tank Pump, PBH-4000 b. Reset the Caisson Pump on the Operator and place Pump in Auto 7. 5 B. SHUT-DOWN PROCEDURES NOTICE: Refer to Preliminary Considerations in SECTION 4, PART A before beginning any shut-down procedures. 1. In order to shut-down the Sump System or any parts of the system, a facility process shut-in is required REFER TO: SECTION 4 (Facility Shutdown Procedure) 2. If necessary, individual system pumps can be shut-down for immediate maintenance/repair NOTICE: Shut-down of a system pump will cause a level to accumulate in the corresponding Tank/Caisson oil bucket. The vessel/caisson must be monitored at all times and the pump must be returned to service before a high level or additional shut-downs will be required. a. Manually activate the pump run signal at the vessel to pump down the level in the oil bucket before shut-down of the pump b. Initiate shutdown of pump supply power at the PLC (elect or air) c. Close manual block valves to isolate the pump suction, discharge and fuel gas supply (as applicable) d. Use appropriate collection to bleed down and drain the pumps before beginning work e. Continuously monitor the process system and the level within the vessel so that further shut-down action can be taken as needed NOTICE: If shut-down was performed as preparation for maintenance work, or if the cause of the shutdown requires corrective action/repair, continue with Lock Out/Tag Out (LO/TO) Procedures REFER TO: Fieldwood Safe Work Practices for LO/TO (Section D Chapter 5) (can be found on the Fieldwood SEMS Portal) Rev: 3 Date: 9/19/16 Page 5 of 5 HI 595 CF & D
