The springs are enclosed and above head height - well out of the reach of children, and there are no moving brackets or door supports which could act as finger or arm entrapments. Flex-A-Door has an optional patented retractable head infill panel for use in low headroom situations. Nylofelt running strips and nylon rollers with bearings ensure smooth, quiet, greaseless operation. Plastic insert in horizontal track provides smooth, quiet operation. Steel track/brace and door stops, with buffers for added safety and quietness. Weatherseal with deep cushioning, helps restrict entry of water and leaves. Waist height centre lift lock with double bar locking action for extra security. Flex-A-Door utilises the Roll-A-Door curtain, providing a clean, neat appearance of the door on both the outside and the inside. Centre lift lock has a deep finger recess externally and turn knob internally for easier operation. Door can be left open at any height, unlike the traditional tilt door, giving the added convenience of allowing the door to be partially opened for ventilation, while still providing privacy in the garage, and the door won t blow shut in the wind. Flex-A-Door fits behind the opening, restricting the wind from blowing through the entry way, as happens with jamb tilt doors, which fit within the opening and therefore have a gap on each side. Inserts measure up to 525mm high, and up to 1428mm wide. The insert size cannot be changed. Width is limited to 1200mm for some inserts, check with your B&D representative for further details. Your B&D Design-A-Door will suit your garage opening with equal sized panels and evenly spaced inserts. description The B&D Design-A-Door features an aluminium powder coated door frame which has a high strength to weight ratio. Customer has the flexibility to select from a range of different insert options, to design a door that suits the look of their home.
