1 Rigidly Laid with Raised Kerb Edge Crossfalls: within range :0 - :80. Longitudinal falls: not less than :00.. Edge Restraint : Precast reconstituted stone kerbs in layout as indicated on Landscape / Architects drawings. Finish / colour: Smooth Finish, natural colour.. Foundation : 4. Pointing : Joint thickness between components should be between 8-0mm. Pointing to be carried out with aid of a pointing tool of suitable width and depth using a mortar mix of parts light brown washed sand to part of white portland cement. Mix to a moist soil consistency. Surplus mortar should be removed as work progresses. More persistent stains should be removed immediately using a clean damp sponge. 5. Bedding Course : Components should be fully bedded in a cement mortar of 4 parts washed coarse sand and part of ordinary portland cement. The mortar should have good workability and adhesion. All components should be fully bedded in mortar for up to 50% of their thickness. Mortar shall be placed in a way that creates a hollow in the centre thus enabling the mortar to spread when the unit is laid, creating suction at the base of the unit. Nominal bed thickness should be 0-0mm. 6. Sub-base : Sub-base to comprise of one or other of materials that comply with the Department Of Transport Highways Works Specification which are: Granular sub-base material type. Cement bound granular material (categories -). The surface of any sub-base materials should be close textured ensuring no loss of bedding materials. 7. Formation
