1 ADDENDUM # 3 DATE: February 16, 2018 REFERENCE: Invitation for Bid No.: S-LB IFB Issue Date: January 25, 2018 Title: Stonewall Middle School Addition and Renovations Architect/Engineer: Architecture Incorporated. Sealed Bid Due Date: February 22, 2:00 p.m. THE FOLLOWING CHANGES, ADDITIONS, DELETIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS ARE HEREBY MADE PART OF THE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE ABOVE REFERENCED PROJECT AND SHALL BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT IN THE PREPARATION OF ALL BIDS AND THE EXECUTION OF ALL WORK. BIDDERS SHALL ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF THIS ADDENDUM IN THE APPROPRIATE SPACE ON THE BID FORM. A. Drawings: C Update the Sheet Index to add the following sheets (increasing the civil site plan to 40 total sheets): a. Add Sheet C3.2 - Depicts offsite drainage on Erosion and Sediment Control Phase 1, as required by Prince William County. b. Add Sheet C3.5 - Depicts offsite drainage on Erosion and Sediment Control Phase 2, as required by Prince William County. c. Add Sheet C3.8 - Pollution Prevention Plan to the sheet index as required by Prince William County. 2. Note 40 - Update anticipated sewage flows per Water Distribution System Network Analysis, by Timmons, dated 1/29/ Note 41 - Update anticipated fire flows per Water Distribution System Network Analysis, by Timmons, dated 1/29/18. C Add Matchlines for Sheets C3.2 and C3.5. C Note 4 - Update note stating Root Pruning detail is found on Sheet C Add Note #6 stating: Existing roof drains be relocated and tie into existing storm drainage system as necessary. Maintain a minimum of 0.5% slope. 3. Add Note #7 stating: Contractor shall maintain egress to existing school doors at all times. C Note 4 - Update note stating Root Pruning detail is found on Sheet C Note 9 - Add note stating: Contractor shall maintain egress to existing school doors at all times. 3. Existing Conditions and Demolition Plan has been updated to show abandonment of the 6 Waterline near the entrance of the school, including removing the existing valve and plug and block the tee installed on Lomond Drive, after the new waterline main is installed and new domestic service has been made to the existing meter.

Update Fire Flow Information chart with Hydraulic Model Summary values, per Water Distribution System Network Analysis, by Timmons, dated 1/29/ Add Water Supply Fixture Units, Addition Only and Drainage Fixture Units, Addition Only schedules. 4. Update Peak demand in gpm and If applicable continuous demand in gpm values on the Multi- Dwelling Or Non-Residential Meter Schedule. 5. Update Valve Schedule for added 4 gate valve for water service connection. C Update Quantity of water main on Project Summary & Analysis chart. C Update 10-yr Water Surface Elevation for Structures I7, I8, I9, I11, I12, and I Add 100-yr Water Surface Elevation for Structure I14, as required by Prince William County. 3. Add Nyloplast detail for 18R Envirohood for 48 Round Concrete Structures. Individual detail attached for reference. C Add inlet shaping note stating: To be provided in underground detention water quality riser and junctions in addition to all storm structures. C Update Bottom of Stone on the Proposed Elevations table on Sheet 2 of StormTech Underground Detention system detail and, subsequently, all other values on the table. C Add Underground Detention Cross Section (One Arch) detail. 2. Add Outlet Structure Details (Structure M-4) detail. 3. Update Base of Stone Elevation and, subsequently, all elevations on StormTech volume/elevation worksheet. M Removed ductless unit for dish-washing. The correct AC-3 unit is shown in the upper right corner of the plan, near the cafeteria (on M201). B. Questions: 1. Several civil sheets (ref:c4.0) note that the utility poles are to be relocated or temporarily supported. Will this work be performed by the utility company? They appear to be utility company poles which can t be altered by the contractor. Response: PWCPS will coordinate with the respective utility company for temporary support and/or relocation. 2. Can you clarify the requirements for painting the fire lanes? The plan seems to show everything as existing. Response: Any of the existing striping that is removed due to new construction will require replacement. See sheet C4.2 for anticipated areas that will require re striping. 3. Is there a phasing plan for the site? I want to be sure that subcontractors are clear on what portions of the work have to be completed during the summer and the dates they have to be complete. Response: In regard to the waterline installation, the following note can be found on sheets C5.1 and C5.2:
5 WATERLINE FROM STA AND FROM TO BEGIN ON JUNE 18, 2018 AND COMPLETED (FULLY TESTED, DISINFECTED, AND ACCEPTED WITH ALL PAVEMENT AND ABOVE GROUND FEATURES FULLY RESTORED) BY AUGUST 3, 2018, WHICH INCLUDES THE CONNECTION TO THE EXISTING 1.5" WATER METER AND RELOCATION OF THE EXISTING 6" WATER SERVICE LINE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING (ADJACENT TO STA ). In addition, the following note has been added to sheets C3.3 and C6.0: The underground detention facility and storm sewer from structure M 6 to I 1 shall be installed and the surrounding areas permanently stabilized and restored prior to August 3 rd, During construction, all upstream areas shall be permanently stabilized and adequately protected by approved erosion and sediment controls prior to placing the underground detention facility online. It shall be the Contractors responsibility to clean/repair any damage caused by silt and debris entering the underground facility during the construction of upstream areas. 4. Section , paragraph 1.02.A.1. specifies that the seating complies with Test Method: California Technical Bulletin 133 (known in our industry as Cal 133) but is not mentioned anywhere else in the specification. Facilities that have sprinklers generally don t require the seating to meet this test method. Will the Cal 133 test method be required for this project? Response: This building is not sprinkled. Provide compliance with California Technical Bulletin Section , paragraph 1.04.H. mentions number and letter plates for the sample but these are not specified in the body of the specification. Will the seating being supplied for installation require seat numbers and row letters? Response: Provide seating with numbers and row letters. 6. How are VRF heat pumps supported on the roof? Response: See Detail 4 on Sheet A Details 11, 12 and 13 on M501 are not typical for VFR installations and contradict manufacturers recommended installation practices? Response: Correct, those details are for the other standard split systems (AC 3). The VFR details are on M304, M402 and M Will a BAS spec and approved contractors be provided? Response: Each system is independently controlled. 9. Please specify what type sink is added in Addendum #2? Response: The recent sink noted, is for the lab area in the Science Room.
