Soundshield can reduce noise levels by up to 22dB through sound reflection, protecting your garden from the noise source. The acoustic core absorbs energy produced and creates a noise shadow area behind the soundwall. This area is determined by direct sound trajectory above the soundwall, taking into account the spreading of sound. Reflective and absorptive systems have been laboratory tested and certified in accordance with BSEN1793/1794 acoustic and mechanical performance standards. Reflective barriers can be supplied pre-fabricated or in kit form to suit requirements. Strong and durable, composite decking will provide a low maintenance, long lasting solution that will not warp, splinter or rot. With a range of contemporary colours, it offers the opportunity to create a modern luxurious outdoor space. Our hollow core boards have a lightweight construction and are reversible with narrow spaced grooves on one side and an embossed wood grain effect on the other. Both sides provide a robust and durable surface. Our solid core capped boards offer greater strength making them more suited to commercial applications and decks that will be subject to heavier use. All our composite decking is environmentally friendly, being manufactured from 95% recycled material. Both products carry guarantees giving peace of mind after installation. It s quick and easy to fit and the hidden fixing clips ensure a smooth, barefoot friendly surface. Fitting Overview Please refer to our composite decking guide for full fitting instructions Choose the decking design required, whether vertical, horizontal or herringbone (image shows vertical layout). Always use a minimum of 3 pieces of the bearer profile. 5mm gap required between wall and decking, using the starter clip use a fixing screw to secure frame in place. BSW s commitment to you Because of our use of the latest generation TANALITH wood preservative and the quality of our treatment procedures, BSW has real confidence in the products we send to market. The eventual end use of treated timber is classified into one of the four main categories shown in the table below. These Use Classes are based on the potential threat to the timber from decay or insect attack in its eventual application. For instance, internal building timbers in Classes 1 & 2 will be under less threat than timbers used externally in ground contact - Use Class 4. Therefore, Use Class 4 timbers will require a higher degree of protection. Our 15-year performance warranty on UC4 posts and timber decking gives you real confidence in their long term performance.
