The salient feature of this vertical, automatically actuated partition system is that it can be stowed invisibly above the suspended ceiling for maximum space-saving efficiency. It is ideal for room layouts that are unsuitable for horizontally sliding partitions and, in particular, narrow through-passage areas. DORMA Hüppe Varitec is made for installation in banks and foyers, shopfronts, arcades and malls, railway stations and air- ports in fact anywhere where high security is required in conjunction with a modern look. Similar criteria also apply, for example, to canteen shutters and meeting and conference rooms, to mention but a few likely locations. Depending on the application and design concept required, the Varitec system can be equipped with either glass or aluminium elements.

3 Dd ith DORMA Hüppe Varitec, the individual elements are guided by vertical profiles arranged either side of the partition. There is no floor rail, so the overall visual impression is enhanced by an uninterrupted floor surface. The DORMA Hüppe Varitec system is effectively secured so that it cannot be pushed or levered up, thus giving added protection against intruders and vandalism. The horizontal gaps between the elements are particularly narrow to avoid the danger of fingers being caught, and the crush risk is eliminated by contact strips. The system immediately stops on contact with an obstruction.
