Flames retardant details Brief description of manufacturing process Two coats are done on the front aluminium substrate with a total dry film thickness of 25 micron, the test face coat being a KYNAR 500 PVDF coat. The back coil is coated with service coat. The coils are then composited with a special flame retardant grade core composition to produce 4mm thick flame retardant grade aluminium composite panel. The coated aluminium coil is bonded to both faces with continuous co-extrusion manufacturing process Note 1: The sponsor was unwilling to provide this information. Information: 1. The performance relates only to the specimens of the product in the form in which they were tested. Each specimen tested to BS 476: Part 6: 1989+A1: 2009 was placed over 12.5mm thick by 20mm wide calcium silicate based spacers positioned around its perimeter and mounted onto a backing board so that a 12.5mm enclosed air gap was provided between the unexposed face of the specimen and the backing board. Each specimen tested to BS 476: Part 7: 1997 was placed over 25mm thick by 20mm wide calcium silicate based spacers positioned around its perimeter and mounted onto a backing board so that a 25mm enclosed air gap was provided between the unexposed face of the specimen and the backing board. 4. The approval relates to on-going production. Board product and/or its immediate packaging shall be identified with the certification mark including the certification number, and the manufacturer s name and the product name or code reference.
