7 Invasive Species Program Rebooted in 2014 Previous invasive species management had been through the grazing and plant biodiversity program Lack of a centralized coordination and invasive species location database Invasive Species Coordinator hired Seasonal Invasive Species technician Invasive species database started and maintained Required under the Integrated Natural Resource Management plan (INRMP). Full-time USDA Hog Removal technician Works on impact ranges to prevent military mission stoppages Monitors hog population and damages off impact ranges
8 Invasive Species Program Main species dealt with: Imperata cylindrica (Cogon Grass) Lygodium sp. (Old World and Japanese Climbing Fern) Schinus terebinthifolius (Brazilian Pepper) Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Downy Rose Myrtle) Urena lobata (Caesar Weed) Solana viarum (Tropical Soda Apple) Ardisia crenata (Coral Ardisia) Abrus precatorius (Rosary Pea)

EDRR treatments of Coral Ardisia and Downy Rose Myrtle.
19 Invasive Species Program (Fauna) Construction and installation of hog wire fencing around all impact ranges. >45 miles of fence line installed. Feral hog removal through multiple means within impact ranges and select locations outside of ranges. 200 hogs removed in FY 15. >50 hogs removed in FY 16. USDA helicopter hog removal occurred in 2015 with minimal results.
20 Natural Resources Program (Wildlife) Red-Cockaded Woodpecker Breeding population that has been supplemented by translocation in recent years Florida Grasshopper Sparrow Breeding pairs and fledglings recorded in 2015 and 2016 Improving habitat through mechanical treatments (dry prairie). Single nest flooded during recent rain events. Florida Scrub Jay Breeding population with restoration efforts in progress to enhance and increase current/future habitats Discovery of Florida Bonneted Bat in 2013 Surveys and research being conducted through USFWS Pathways program
