3 Enrichment and Reforestation The Enrichment & Reforestation Program in January-March 2015 focused on monitoring what had been planted and maintaining the seedlings in the nursery As at the end of March 2015, the total number of seedlings that have been prepared at the nursery are 45, Indigenous plant seedling: Fruit seedling: From January to March 2015, the number of seedling that have been planted for reforestation and enrichment program is 1, Indigenous plant seedling: Fruit seedling: 183 Slide 2 4/24/2015 3

11 HCV & Orangutan Monitoring The Satgas team continued with the monitoring and patrolling. No sighting of orangutan or nest in this quarter In January-March 2015 Satgas team was trained to use SMARTPHONES for monitoring and patrolling activities using Cybertracker plugni Possible illegal logging activities still found at HCV Area (259 Ha), & reported to the relevant government agencies Satgas also demolished the wooden bridges around HCV Area which is used by possible illegal logger Cybertracker Source: Slide 11 4/24/
12 HCV & Orangutan Monitoring Still found possible illegal logging activities at the HCV Area. Tracked down and socialise with 1 logger on replacing unfriendly environmental livelihood with Bumitama community empowerment programme of poultry farming. Slide 12 4/24/
13 HCV & Orangutan Monitoring - Patrolling The logger is from Teluk Melano/Teluk Batang. He said he came to LSM Concession to cut trees because he does not have a permanent job to support his family. Teluk Melano/Teluk Batang is one of village in Ketapang which is far from LSM Concession. The Sustainability and Satgas team of Wil 8 A gave the warning and persons found in our concessions and these persons were issued with letters on consequence of illegal logging Slide 13 4/24/
14 HCV & Orangutan Monitoring - Patrolling Satgas found the camp and chainsaw of illegal logger at HCV area Slide 14 4/24/
15 CSR Community Empowerment Programme On February 13, 2015 LSM team met the loggers who had been identified. LSM team explained the consequences of illegal logging and degradation of conservation area of LSM and weather impact to the region. The team also shared on LSM community empowerment program; that they can take part in this programme if they promise to leave the unsustainable livelihood Three people agreed to leave the logging profession and started sustainable livelihood with LSM CSR assistance. The programme is expected to start in May 2015 Slide 15 4/24/
