18 Visiting researcher & VISITING scholar programs at Phillips Universitat Margburg February 2016 BROOKLYN UY AND RYAN DE CHAVEZ Feb. 4-6, 2016: Taking pictures of micro land snails specimens using scanning light microscope at the Ecology Department, Philipps University, Marburg. The photos taken are very useful for identification and will be included in the future write-ups.
19 Feb. 8-9, 2016: Ms. Uy and Mr. De Chavez visited the Museum of Natural History, Berlin, Germany and met Dr. Thomas von Rintelen, malacologist, who works in the Museum and helped them to identify micro land snails. Their collection of micro land snails were compared with those collected from Asia. At the Museum of National History, Berlin, Germany with Dr. de Chavez and Dr. Hotes.

21 Feb , 2016: The micro land snails were subjected under the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) at the Microbiology Department with the assistance of Dr. Karl-Heinz Rexer a mycologist and a SEM expert.

23 Visiting researcher & VISITING scholar programs at Phillips Universitat Margburg June-July 2016 Rowena Japitana Presentation of Ms. Japitana s ongoing thesis at the Department of Ecology in Marburg University Overall, this fellowship opportunity has provided me more information in improving my research especially with the modelling part and the analysis of the results of my study. Furthermore, I was also able to extend my networks with other colleagues working on biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services which is a good preparation for any future joint researches.
