The Collaboration Program is designed for natural resource professionals to: 1. Acquire the facilitative leadership skills to convene, facilitate and sustain progressive collaborative problem-solving processes. 2. Acquire the participative leadership skills to effectively participate in natural resource multi-party collaborative processes.
2 3. Acquire the leadership skills to convene and use a collaborative proposal process for natural resource decision-making. The curriculum uses an active learning methodology, consisting of a combination of lectures, scenario and role-playing exercises, panels and practical experience. This Program is now being attended by its fourth cohort. Each cohort has between 15 and 13 participants. This involves outreach, organizing logistics, program evaluation, updating lectures and role- playing scenarios, mentoring, supervision of staff and continual updating of curriculum and lesson plans.
